Well, its been a while, so I thought I would refresh the rankings and see how teams have been faring. 1 team went CPU, 1 team announced that they were going CPU after the season, and 1 team is switching from casual to regular, so a lot has happened.
1) ECT: One of the two undefeated teams. They have a VERY convincing win over RD as well as RR. No one has really stood in their way. 2nd in total points for and 2nd in total points against. AND that ST unit....
2) MN: I struggled with this one for a while, but I ultimately decided with MN, because well, Melissa donated some flex. I mean, um, because they have been statistically better than RD. Yes, I know they lost to RD, but RD boosted early and MN had not boosted at the time of that loss. One thing that does concern me about MN is the negative TO differential. This could present problems when they attempt to four-peat.
3) RD: They beat MN and their only loss is to ECT. Not bad. They do have a loss to HK in the GLB Tournament in which they "didn't gameplan" (sorry, I had to say that). The wins have not been quite as impressive as MN's wins, but they are still beating quality opponents in always difficult West.
4) NHG: So, NHG is 9-0 are and ranked 4th. Why you ask? Because they don't have quality wins. They split with DN winning the home game with a mini-helmet day. While they did beat RDW, they lost a ranked game against RD (I'm assuming this was a tournament game and taken seriously). Their schedule is back loaded with ECT, RR, and Philly left to play. If they go 2-1 or 3-0, then they will be probably be ranked higher, but until then, they should be happy with 4th.
5) MCC: Their 3 losses are MN x2 and RD. There is no shame in that. It's a shame that the team is breaking up after the season, but I'm sure a few teams are happy to pick up some of MCC's players (kicker excluded ). You have to wonder if this team will pick it up in the playoffs or drop off with the lack of gameplanning. Maybe bruijaah will get a couple of good days of internet and make a huge run or maybe he's at sea and doesn't even know if he won or not.
6) RR: Rome's 2 losses are the ECT, a 6 point squeaker on a neutral field and a blowout loss on the road. They do have two convincing road wins against Philly and DN. Rome is all about can you stop the rushing QBs and the ST unit. Everyone knows that you can score on them...
7) RDW
8) Philly
9) DN
10) who knows
I ran out of time. I might add to this later but I wanted to post it now.
