So, to week 9!

Matchups

Alpha

Knossos Minotaurs vs Rennes Corsairs
Knossos should continue to roll against a Rennes team that has a lot of fight, but is outclassed here.
Prediction: Knossos 31-3

Montcuq Beserker Trolls vs Dublin Destroyers
Montcuq will go on another scoring ramage here, and look set to have the top scoring offense in WEAA#3 by the end of the regular season.
Prediction: Montcuq 128-0

Vice City Crack Whores vs Black Watch *Alpha Game of the Week*
Vice City match up against a tough Black Watch side on the rise. Look for this to be close, but for VC to edge the game.
Prediction: Vice City 17-12

Yorkshire Knights vs Barcelona Razorbacks
Yorkshire should rebound against an underachieving Barca team, as they seek to secure a playoff spot. Can Barca live up to their talent?
Prediction: Yorkshire 24-6

Seville Naranjas vs Belfast Super Crues
Seville should crush the Crues as they finally get an easier game. Look for them to enjoy racking up the score.
Prediction: Seville 101-0

Dorset Stampede vs Ahlen Aces
Ahlen could be a different team with a new owner very shortly, but on current form expect another blowout.
Prediction: Dorset 120-0

Fareham Demons vs London Royals
Fareham come off an upset against the Knights, and should continue to provide more weight to their contender status.
Prediction: Fareham 58-6

Messina Blazers vs Hamburg Likedeeler
Hamburg have the chance to improve their playoff credentials here, and come up against a Messina team coming off their biggest loss of the year.
Prediction: Hamburg 27-6

Zeta

Stirling Crusaders vs Antwerp Jokers
Antwerp need a W to continue their rise after a tough start, but Stirling present a stiff challenge.
Prediction: Stirling 21-6

Spaniard Quebrantaguesos vs Glasgow Manglers
Whilst you'd expect a blowout, look to Glasgow to stiffen their nerve, even in defeat.
Prediction: Spaniard 40-6

Munchen The Fearless Lion vs Bath Killer Bees *Zeta Game of the Week*
Both teams need the win to send them further towards homefield advantage - both teams should make the playoffs, this will be a test of caliber.
Prediciton: Munchen 17-16

Wales Whales vs Lyon Loups *LFU*
Wales come up against one of the 2nd tier teams in Zeta. Shame for Lyon Wales are top bracket.
Prediction: Wales 39-7

Bergen Black Bears vs Turin Blue Jays
Turin have fight, but will it be enough to defeat Bergen, who seem to be gathering momentum?
Prediction: Bergen 32-18

Berlin Thunder vs FF-FD Satellite
Can the Satellite's weather the storm? Tough game, look to Berlin for victory.
Prediction: Berlin 28-17

Yorkshire Rippers vs Copenhagen Armadillos
Another tough game in Zeta, as two outside challengers collide.
Prediction: Yorkshire 21-17

Hjorring Rhinos vs St Michael Blicas
Two teams that look set to be also-rans meet in what could kill off any slim playoff hopes for either team.
Prediction: St Michael 21-9

Agreed - there are issues with the 16th game algorithim which the generator cannot resolve.

The algorithm cannot resolve more than about 60% of the games played in week 16 because there is no data for inter-conference play (no numbers for comparative analysis to crunch). In most cases where two good teams or two bad teams are matched up in Gm 16, the analysis will pick a different winner depending on perspective. That means it will likely expect both bad teams matched against one another to lose and both good teams matched up to win. You can use the average of the numbers to approximate some sort of score, but it will not have the accuracy of the other games. Averaging tempers all results toward the league mean, and is a poor substitute for individual data points.

We'll have to grin and bear it, but take it as a rough projection - relative power rankings if you like.

Very Nice.. I hope that Seville prediction comes true . It'll be nice for St Michael Blicas to pull it out as well.

HAHA, your nuts, going to be another big game for the Blicas...slim hopes are right for Playoffs, but Season isn't over yet Well put together, but I see some possible upsets up there.

Let's hope so! I love upsets - especially against teams I'm competing for a playoff spot with. Hope St.Michael can do it, would be great to have playoff versions of the Blica Bulletin!

There are mitigating factors - we beat Belfast 41-3, the team changed and everyone started blowing them out. The generator looks at our result as weak. Personally, I think we'll do better than 2-6 through the next 8 games, but the generator bases
everything on common opponents, points scored, points against etc.

I like being an underdog

We'll have to see how everything pans out. If we don't, I may possibly be interested in writing for a playoff team to continue the Playoff coverage. Maybe just do an entire article with a synopsis of each game.
