Not once did we EVER say we were tougher than the WL, we only said we were in the same ballpark.
However, I think PWG has taken a step backwards in that regard the past couple seasons. I don't think teams are putting in several hours of game planning per game like we used to. Instead, teams are doing a quick 30 min scout of the other team and making subtle tweaks, or just spamming the most popular plays in hopes for a win. And I don't see defenses changing much on a per game basis any longer. The better teams are still good enough to make the playoffs with this method and then turn things on in the playoffs.

whats up enasty!
I agree with you Gerr.. add in non-boosting teams and Pee Wee Gold requires little effort during the regular season.
not sure it's ever going to be strong from top to bottom again.

If you guys think Pee Wee Gold is easy check out Sophomore Competitive, Prep Elite and University Elite.. If you can field a half way descent team in those League's you have a much better shot at a Championship than you do in Pee Wee Gold.

I don't agree with this. I have to do more gameplanning now as the quality of teams has gotten better IMO. From about season 15 to season 18, I only had to gameplan at all for about 3-4 games per season and I was easily able to go 14-2 or better each season. Since season 19, and really since season 22 with the new plays, that has changed a lot because of the rental EQ reducing the NO/NO sentiment. I remember in season 17 or 18 playing in the east with 5-6 boosting/CEQ teams. So, it is much harder now, not easier, but we are still not tougher than the WL, not even close because of how many more variables they are dealing with up there.

To some extent more variables "complicates" things, but also too many variables "simplifies" them as well, having done no venturing into the depths of level 15 and beyond... I don't honestly care, but every level that is added on imo the game becomes more about build strategy and less about catering to the ever-changing sim.
I for one think build strategy is a lot more concrete... and "simple"...
People oversimplify peewee in their heads because we don't have to deal with everyone stacking the exact same VAs and calling that "variables" but don't take in to account (until they come down here and suck it up for a season or more) the fact that we have to deal with dots that literally are incapable of accomplishing on their own the very things people take for granted in the upper leagues.
Such as man coverage actually doing anything, or better yet... coverage in general doing anything at all to effect the outcome of the play on any kind of consistent basis... not to mention the little outside containment learning curve.

I'm talking more about pre-Season 16ish.. where every Gold team was trying and you had to play a tough game every week. Back then, when a team started off slow they would boost... , the weaker teams were possibly 3 levels higher then you and were dangerous. -
Alot of things have changed since then .... Game planning can be more involved now with progressions... defensivley, on how far you want to take tagging.... but we also have better tools to game plan with. We're all pretty much running the same plays.. it's just a matter of going into the scout tool and spending 15 minutes looking at Ds to see if you want to tweak a few progressions. Maybe remove a play or two in a package.. and hope to hell auto adjust figures everything out for you.
The main problem I see going forward is that long term agents have NO reason to get into Pee Wee now.. since you have to boost the same season you create your dot to hit Level 79... we're probably not getting very many new agents interested in Pee Wee. We need MORE new blood .. and we need those teams/agents to boost. I really think Bort and company should sell Pee Wee as an instant gratification league, a newbie league to learn how ALGs and attributes work, and a league to get your hands on advanced AI. Then we can get new agents who may get caught up in the competition and get serious about creating an elite Pee Wee team.
