There's been some speculation lately ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4736594&page=2#43541737 ) that if you're using Auto-Adjust and throw an incomplete pass, Auto-Adjust will treat it as a "no gain/no loss" result -- and won't adjust the playcalling percentage for that play at all.

Is this true?

And if it is true, how does that make sense? If I call one particular pass play 5 times in the first quarter and get 5 incompletions, I would want Auto-Adjust to treat that play as if it isn't working and adjust it downward, effectively making it more likely for different pass plays to get called instead. I wouldn't want to keep calling that play at the same percentage.

An incomplete pass (treated the same as a pass for zero yards) is a "bad" result, worth from (-1 to -5) depending on your adjust adjust speed.

is there still going to be turn in xp for players created within the APD/new system (i.e. when they reach day 281)?

Obviously we've seen Spin pretty much takeover and in its absence we tend to see Power Thru (albeit at a lower clip nowadays). Just wondering if SAs like Power Thru/Lower the Shoulder are more likely to fire on tackle attempts that are "dead on" while an SA like Stiff Arm or Spin would be more likely to fire on tackle attempts that are made from an angle.

No, though the effect on the tackler is different between them. Stiff arm will push the tackler to the side, while losing no speed, while power through or lower the shoulder will stop the tackler in his tracks, but slow the ball carrier down.

Stiff Arm and lower the shoulder just don't show up as much because they are "lesser" SA's, and spin or power through get a chance to go off first (and if they do go off, we don't even bother with stiff arm or lower the shoulder). If they do go off, their bonus is also lower, so it's less likely they break the tackle, and therefore do not show up. It might actually be interesting to show the icons even on successful tackles. I bet they go off more often than you think.

And that's all for this Q & A. Will leave up for a couple days before moving to archives.
