Anyone else read about this? Man, makes ya wonder now. I realize that steroids are used in helping the healing process as I had to go through that with steroid shots for my shoulder when I tore it up, but to think this was something introduced and possibly abused then.... Puts a whole new way of thinking about pro sports in general in my mind.

But I think back then the players and fans were not as educated about steroids as they are now. Not saying it's ok to use them back then, but it probably wasn't as big of a deal back then as it is now.

i thought he admitted to cortisone steriods, which is still legal today.

I read that back in the 70's steroids was legal and that about 90% of players back then
used it.

not just cortizone... I know it is used for healing, what they injected into my shoulder.

oh i thought i heard on sportscenter last night that his agents released a statement saying it was just to help his elbow heal. And terry said "you can look at me and tell i've never done it"
