It´s finished. Bracketmaking has a system. There are 8er,16er,32er,64er,128er Brackets.

We have a total of 34 teams, so they took the a 64-team-bracket for the 34 teams, 30 teams have bye except 4, they play each other.

VS.

So...the Slackers get to play the role of Directional State College in a play-in game, eh? I guess them's the breaks...I guess you'll catch us on the ESPN highlights if we win our way into the Big Dance.

When is GLB going to institute some sort of ranking system for these tournaments? Now that they have the global ranking, how hard would it be to seed the teams in the tournament by their global rank? It would actually make the new ranking useful. 5 of the best teams at this age will be reduced to 2 after the first two rounds with the Richey/Laos matchup, and the Seismos/Rain winner facing off against LoDD.

I created a new suggestion to use the global rankings to seed the GLB tournaments. If you think it's a good idea (or a shitty idea), please comment in the suggestion.

premise is good, just using the wrong base... should be EL

problem stems from demoting teams, like mine for instance... global ranks are based on prior season's results

While I agree effective level would be best, I know it's been suggested before, and well, we can all see how well that went. Global rank, while not entirely accurate at the moment the brackets are assigned, is at least better than completely random, and would be really easy to implement. Plus, effective level only takes into account ~50% of your roster, so that can be manipulated easily as well.

how about ( the total # teams in glb divided by team global rank ) times the team roster SP level = tourney seed score

the higher the score the lower the seed

Every season we have to play Richey in the tourney Not even 1 break. This time instead of it toward the end its in the beginning of the tourney.

not sure global ranking would be the best choice since it hasn't been calculated for the current season yet. It's only a measurement of a team's previous season's performance. With roster turnover, coordinator changes, and AI changes, it's not a very accurate assessment of teams.

But it's still better than random.

Way better than random imo. Since teams haven't played any games when the tournament is scheduled it has to be based somewhat off of the last season. Might not end up with the perfect seedings but would be way more common-sense than it is now.

You know what's funny, is I don't even know where to find team rankings. I've stumbled across them before but can't find them again
