Last evening following the Seattle NEThawks bounce back victory over the Microdizzle Destroyers we caught up with starting fullback Owen Schmitt187. Owen was found at Slick Jimmy's Pub in downtown Pretoria South Africa sponsoring an impromptu beer coaster eating contest for his charity the Owen Schmitt Fund for Malnourished Lemurs and The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Team mates and fans have been known to refer to Schmitt as "The Runaway Beer Truck" and tonight it showed as the generally calm fullback was seen breaking tables with his forehead, some of them solid oak that would give out with a loud crack as soon as Schmitt's forehead made contact. Asked about his behavior Owen replied "eh, gotta do somethin to wind down after a huge win like tonight, plus this helps amp me up for the next game against Congo. Man I cant wait to lock shoulder pads with their LB's. I knocked a fool on his ass tonight and I love doin that man."
Later that evening Owen was seen participating in the coaster eating event where he easily won, devouring the whole coaster in less than a minute. "The secret," he said "is to soak it in A LOT of beer."
