Ok when this league first started out in the preseason everyone was chill and cool. Roleplaying got started and it was going fine and well then over the last few games everyones RP's have been turned into out of character Flamefests.

IM FEED UP

heres what I suggest.

1. Leave Will alone!!!! Some of his posts were downright OOC flames but he seems to be moving in the right direction and doing stuff incharacter. If he does an In-Character promo for his team and you want to diss what he says do it in-character.

2. If someone breaks the OOC Line and invades an IC post with OOC flames don't follow their lead. Just ignore it.

I should be having a little more time in a bit to do things, and I was thinking of doing some more videos for the conference. Maybe a GLB news release as well.

BUT IF EVERYTHING KEEPS TURNING INTO OUT OF CHARACTER FLAME-FESTS THEN I'M GOING TO QUITE DOING ANYTHING!

I will quit doing the power rankings

I will quit Rp'ing

I will do nothing for the probowl or awards and I really wont do any videos!

Yes we know some of you dont like players being cocky, but if its in character that does not make them cocky.

Yes we know some people feel like willm's team is cheese, but its not against the rules and he is active on the forums so he could be a valable member of the community if he just starts doing his talk in character.

Lets just be chill and have fun like we were, because I dont enjoy all the hate drama, unless of course if its in character hate drama.

Also note if I do start doing the videos again among other things if you are an OOC flamer, YOUR PLAYERS WILL NOT BE INCLUDED. If you are on OOC flaming owner, YOUR TEAM WILL NOT BE INCLUDED!

cool drake, im okay with that, seriously you'all im sorry if i pissed you all of, i just was talking trash in name of the game! if it bothers you all that much i'll stop it, but i was on championship team last year and season 1 and we talked all kinds of smack, tnoles was in our conference and he talked all sorts of smack, why take it the wrong way! if you want to call me lame fine...but dont get yourself banned being dumb! i have pm's from 3 moderator's asking me if i was offened by 2 of the people in the forum, so im assuming they frowned on it...by the way, i said no! cuz im actually a cool cat.

Just be cool with wut you say as well willm. If you want to hail your team as the greatest team do so in a in-character press release.

The one you did for the player trade was great, those type of posts add to the fun of the league.

Posts like

OMFG WE PAWN ALL U NOOBS, AND WILL WIN EVERYTHING CUZ WE GODZ posts are lame and stupid and are nothing more then trolling.

But if you turn it around and do a press release and state something like

Officals inside of Cairo today were in shock, as owner Willm arrived as a press meeting and slamed the other teams around the league.

Willm stated that Cairo was the only force inside of Africa and went on to add that Cairo will sleep the season and playoffs like it was a cake walk.

Fans in the surrounding area cheered on the release of such bold comments however players and owners from around the league was in outrage.

Their is a big difference and anyone who flames you for posting something like the 2nd example I gave is a cockpipe.

Ok, I agree. I'll admit the "in character" went over my head at first. Some of the posts referring to Willm being gay, you know the fake quotes, are way out of line. I hate reading that, it just seems a little too raunchy and it's a serious misrepresentation. I don't have a character, so I'll post my LOLs, just to let you guys know I'm reading. Drake, your work is awesome dude and we all appreciate it. Don't let some of these crazy posts take that away. The acting and dissing in character are hilarious!! Keep it up guys. If I had a high lvl skill position player I would make a character!

Intent is the difference. Seperating yourself from your comments makes the insults much less personal. It also allows people to know when someone's actually pissed off about something, or just mouthing off. Just like your post about WILLM. You were actually pissed, so dont' do that in charachter. (actually, do that in a totally different way). But, you see my point? Jokes and criticism and personal attacks are two different ways to post.

Exactly...

It sounds like a way to get around overly sensitive people with baby shoes on. If it makes you guys feel better, or more "PC" then fine, I'll play by your preschool "happy feelings" rules. I still don't see the whole picture though.

I guess I'm just a "call it like I see it" kinda guy though.

Don't ever assume that I'm all about being "PC"! lol...

The way I see it, the problem was that people had trouble realizing when someone was in character and when they weren't... so someone would post something in character and another person would get offended when the original poster was really only joking... etc. etc.

If you guys want to hurl insults, go right ahead; I think it's immature for the most part, but I love trash talking... it's just that no one really knew where the line was between a joke and a serious personal attack... but whatever...

For the record, I don't dislike anyone in this league. Not even WillM. I don't agree with everything people do, but this is the best league I have seen yet, from teams, to forum interaction, and my team in particular, I love those guys.

Online, there is absolutely no way to convey your actual intentions. Words are usually misinterpreted by different emotional states while reading/writing.
