Thats still an old dot, i would think most well built dots that are post training change will need and roll with much higher.

Why need? Is the sim different for these dots?

There is no need to train vision any more or less than before, even with the introduction of multi training.

Here are a couple of well-built archetype dots from another decent dot builder:

Back in the day, when I was pondering these sort of questions, I felt I saw a positive effect from those who pushed Vision into the 60's. The higher you go, the more diminishing returns on your investment. I'm partial to letting it settle in the 60-65 range.

Yes, it is, the competition has increased stats then the competition they would be facing now. Vision is very useful in picking up additional blocks and passing a successful vision check gives lineman an almost godlike advantage in predicting O or D plays.

I don't think we're going to agree here. If the competition has better attributes, they will be in Str, Agi mainly (if built well). I'd recommend countering that with more Str, Agi and Blk rather than vision. And that means training these attributes at high ranges rather than trickling vision up a bit more.

The dealbreaker for me is not that a little more vision wouldn't hurt, rather that it compromises your build too much concerning the other attributes.

I think all OL should be roughly

140-150+ strength
95-100+ agility
80-85 blocking
70+ speed (I'm shooting for 75-80+ myself)
60-65 stamina, vision, confidence

Speed and vision help a lot when pass blocking. Mostly when the blocker does not have a D lineman to block. Then you will see how much speed and vision help by how well the blocker picks up a blitzer. I really like FS and 69+ speed for OTs with high agility to counter DEs abilities. Just don't forget about strength.

In the run blocking game speed and vision might hurt you against a D lineman because you may be lacking in the strength and agility department. It comes in very handy when you don't have a D lineman to block and you need to get to the LBs or second level. Just hope the other linemen can hold their blocks or pancaking a LB may be all for nothing. It can also have its uses on screens and pulling situations but unless your OC calls these plays all the time, they should be rare.

In the current sim not holding a block can ruin a play but holding a block or getting a pancake really does not change much. The O line is not very glorious in this game which is very disappointing. The sim seems to be more about HBs breaking tackles or avoiding them than following solid blocks.

thats just my 2 cents

I dunno, i'm a fan of vision. My center has yet to give up a sack in regular season, and his vision i believe is a large factor in that. Its definitely a lot easier to see the advantage of vision on d-line , then o-line, especially with counter plays, but getting a good jump and moving efficiently once you pass a vision check is key IMHO. 68 or better is still my suggestion, especially givin new advanced development.

Neither has the other center on your team.

This team in your league has 2 CPU centers neither of which gave up a sack either: http://goallineblitz.com/game/depth_chart.pl?team_id=147

Centers simply don't give up many sacks. T & G may be different.
