I know how you feel. I used to configure PP1 and PP2 in reverse but found better results the way I posted. I think it is because PP1 has more distance to get into position and there tend to be more speedy players coming from the inside. Also, because I go for the pancake at SE2 with an O lineman the gunner can get free a lot if the pancake misses. So I need a solid blocker waiting to take on the gunner and or the SB1 defender that is also coming from the outside.
So basically I don't like an O lineman at PP2 but I do like a solid pancaking FB or TE that can pancake and move. PP1 needs to get back fast and pick a blocking target. Even if PP2 fails he must slow somebody down. Not enough speed at this position usually ends in too many defenders getting to the PR untouched.
