Well when were you ever comparing apples to apples before? 32 sacks in season 7/8 was not the same as 32 sacks in season 6.

with the change what effect will it give young dots currently? Will it be a disadvantage for a young dot or an advantage. Would young dots ever have a chance to reach the top tiers of the HOF?

HoF will likely have to be restructured in some way. Not that it is any good currently anyways.

New dots will be at a serious disadvantage, but I think Catch has already caught onto the idea of extending the top dot a bit longer. Current system dots have 13-14 productive seasons, and new dots as currently described will only have 10-11 productive seasons.

Hopefully, this is still up for discussion, and not a plan set in stone.

I can see some great advantages to this as is, but most people who wanted this change, wanted it for longer WL play/competitiveness. I think if it could be arranged so that season 8 was alot like season 11 is now, With plateau not starting till season 9. Have players hit lvl 72 by end of season 7, then, have season 8 give no exp but allow 3 boost. Then Plateau from 9-12. You make up the extra plateau with one extra non exp/non training boostable season.

If you want to build both sorts of players, can you do this, or is everything headed towards APD?

I don't think you will want to go through the old format, the build process is the same you will just level up more quickly. I think you will enjoy it.

so my level 60 players right now, what happeneds to them, when this is implemeted, do they jump levels? or do they start at the same level and only have like 2 seasons left?

So you're saving 9 boosts (current 33 boosts) - (7seasons X3 + 3 boosts in plateau) = 9. Then spending 200fp (non-refundable) for CEQ upgrades. So you're looking at saving 700-2500fp over the life of a dot.

You're also losing ~2 seasons of dot building time so your dots will be recycled more quickly. So you're looking at the normal creation and boosts costs for 2 seasons for your new dots 700-2100fp. So you'll basically break even on 100fp dots and save a little on 300fp dots.

If we're now counting offseason days as season days, 120 days of extended plateau would only equate into 2 additional seasons not 3??

each season now = 56 days passed

20 boosts = 120 days (3 seasons)
-6 days for each boost <20
0 boosts = 0 days
