Is this only for FG and extra points?

If on punts as well, I hope there is some offense tagging available to allow true blockers to match up against true rushers....

Seems like a really bad idea if blocking is so hard to get right on regular plays...

Teams that have ST units who have "adequate" blockers to face KO/P coverage could be destroyed by facing extreme builds from pass rush (do pass rush VAs/SAs apply to breaking blocks on STs?) and speed outside from CBs, etc....

How much testing has been done on this?

From the looks of things, almost all XP's are being blocked, even in close games.

Done on purpose...Blocks were ramped way up for testing purposes according to stizz. ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4656666&page=5#42638332 )

We tested it quite a bit. Blocking kicks will be very hard to do. It should happen between evenly matched teams maybe once or twice a season.

And for the other 99% of the games about twenty times a game?????

It needs to happen once or twice a season - period.

You are just getting this one started. PLEASE do not frak it up like all the other ludicrously stupid stats and keep it realistically within a pro - football range of results!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does "evenly matched teams" teams mean? Is it by EL, score differential, what? If a 78 team plays a 75 team, can we expect blocked kicks every 3rd time or what? Using words like evenly matched worries me that it's going to be a clusterf$ck, like not only are you losing by 35 points but you can't even kick a FG.

And for unevenly matched teams, the weak team will never block an FG or EP, and the weaker team will never get into kicking range.

Does any pass deflection abilities help for blocking kicks?

good fucking god if a 75 team can beat a 78 team then they are evenly matched

Will they be random, or will tall pass rushers with high jumping and break block and towering man have more success?

So...since blocked XPs happen more often than flat out missed XPs (in professional football) can we expect the % of flat out missed XPs to go down?
