You also read way too much into that original announcement. You inferred that it would be any piece. All you had to do was send me a pm, send Support a message, or post a question in the Q & A thread we had shortly after that announcement and it would have been clarified for you. I should have made the announcement more clear and I apologize for any confusion I caused you (I've added a edit to clarify it now) but we've never allowed users to take advantage of changes after the change has been announced. Allowing users to stockpile purchased AEQ after the announcement would essentially equate to risk free shopping as users could just shop, keep a +% piece each roll and refund it, and shop until they found the piece they liked.
I'm also not sure how you are screwed by this. You can still exchange it for another +% piece or +SA piece.
Catch, I'm actually going to dispute this statement. I did send you a PM regarding the refund policy. You stated unequivocally that all AEQ would be eligible for a refund. With your permission, I'd like to post this PM for the general public

Originally posted by BellyCheck Guys, I think it's a little silly to go on a game changes thread and say in so many words, "That's a game-changer!"
They know they're changing the game. So, the prelim announcement said we could swap any +% piece and get full value... and now it's any pre-announcement piece.
Meh. If you really think you ruined the dot you bought some gear for from this point forth and forevermore by trying to plan out "temporary" use of % gear, retire him.
On the other hand it's a bit naive to continue to accuse users of gaming a system, when the system is, in fact, a game.
I personally consider any such lapses in communication a feature of the general game environment at this point, and the lurching around in beta to be part of the game itself. Hell, I don't know what I'd do if GLB had a stable set of rules from season to season. But I've been here since the end of S1... so what does that tell you?
Just roll with it dudes. Wahhhhh it's not fairrrrr, but it's not fair the same way to everybody, so no huge loss. It's just a change within a change - if the few BTs to shop for or enhance a +% piece since the announcement are so important that your build is ruined, start over or just punt on the game.
This is how the GLB guys seem to roll. They make a very cool, very addictive product... but if you want to reduce it to a script or an excel spreadsheet, it'll bite you in the butt, because they will nerf that stuff. And sometimes they nerf the nerf.

If I did it was a mistake. I do make them. I'll pm you and discuss.

I did put in a support ticket the day after the announcement and was told by support that "any" meant "any".
What a waste of calories. Why does this have to be so complicated for a one time swap? If some people here are better off token wise, who cares? Just let people refund their EQ next season and be done with it. So many better things you guys could be doing with your time than this.
Catch sorry if I missed it if you have answered this but when we are going to sell will it tell us how many Bonus Tokesn we will get back before we actually sell the pieces. Just wondering cause there are some pieces I bought and some I shopped for but can't remember which is which. If that is not in the plans it would help alot if it was.

Originally posted by Catch22 I'm not exactly sure how Bort is going to code it but I would imagine there would be some type of display to tell you how much you would receive if it's eligible for a refund.
we should have this display available yesterday btw...
question about the offensive/defensive trades: some players are STOP archetypes and might want to trade a % break block for a %hold block or vice versa and have both instead of stacking one or the other... any exception for STOPs?

No. STOP's are not limited to just playing special teams so we can't have an exception there.
suggestion: if people aren't able to exchange items they thought they were going to be able to exchange and/or get refunded what they thought they might, could GLB add something like the "convert" feature that would, for a BT cost, allow them to convert, for example, +3 speed affix for +3 strength affix?

Not completely out of the realm of possibility I don't think (not the coder but I would think it's doable) but I think if we were to do something like that it'd have to be equivalent price for creation of a +3 attribute (40 bonus tokens). Otherwise you would just have everyone buying whatever +3 attribute piece they can find and converting it for the lower cost.
the May 2nd limit seems silly. I mean if someone built an AEQ on May 3rd that worked best in the sim at that time because they wanted to win a title season 22 and 23, it seems to makes sense to allow the to convert it or refund it with the sim changing.
This doesnt have an impact on me, my team.....just sayin for those that did build it post May 2nd I would understand if they are frustrated.
