I would hold judgement on whether it is a good thing depending on how it is implemented. It could be the greatest move GLB ever made or a complete train wreck (can you say "jumping the shark").

But I guess we shall see.

Sure it is feasible but the biggest flex spenders would quit if they did it. That's why it would never happen.

Nope, nobody can say jumping the shark.

Actually never heard it before on these forums, what does it mean?

Many MMORPGs run a beta version on one server and go live with the finished product on another. Letting builds die off on one server might be the best move if they drop the beta tag and go with a faster build process.

Pretty much means the last ditch effort before the whole show goes down the drain. Hope that isn't the case here.

I would agree that they would be better off going to a new server with the new players, however, I doubt that would happen as it would probably piss of too many of the old guard teams/networks. it would also cost more as new teams on that server would be required.

And what of the player building cost, are players going to be cheaper if the mature faster?

i just noticed you own 6 teams and don't have a shiny gold owner trophy - With nobody playing this dead game you would think it wouldn't be so hard to win a trophy

As for the game dying ....well with a fresh server, faster building process, maybe some advertising...it would breathe a little bit of new life into the game.

And this new build process isn't a money grab by any means. Less boosting will be involved. If anything you get the same amount for your buck....just a quicker leveling process which is needed. I think too many people play this game and emo rage after they hit pros and find out the last year and half have been for nothing. The serious players learn from their mistakes and live with the time loss. More casual players just quit. Less time might mean less mental damage to many of the agents that still fail here

Guys, the players you have currently will be pro rated into the accelerated process. You're not losing anything, infact catch went to great pains to make it happen exactly as it is now, only faster.
