I can't wait until they release their poorly hatched plan, are informed by the user base that there are all sorts of issues with their proposal, then cross their arms and declare "we're doing it anyway".

It could be almost as much fun as when endorsements were introduced.
The obvious hangup they're "working on" is integrating this new feature with already existing players. It will no doubt be the cause of protests and is already making the idea of creating a new player seem risky. As such it would have been better to have a completed plan ready for discussion before making this latest announcement.

All players created in the new method play in the GLB V2 world. Let the old players fade off into Bolivian.
