Picks record this season: 72-40
lolAlpha
Game of the Week
Machu Picchu Hidden Dragons (7-0) v Dallas Longhorns (7-0)
No question this time as to which is the GoTW in lolAlpha. Once you get to be 7-0 in WL, you probably start to develop some game day Superstition http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDZFf0pm0SE to make sure you keep winning. I’m sure the Dallas coords are sweating at the thought of touching their AIs this game. Who knows what taut is doing other than eating pr0k. I kinda expect to see a last minute premium promo from Dallas. MPHD 24, Dallas 23
Other Games
Odessa Mojo (6-1) v Carthage Mad Clash (2-5)
Normally a win over Moose makes a team feel good, but it’s not quite the same this season. Odessa’s only loss meanwhile is of the quality variety, if there is indeed such a thing as a quality L. They are generally Jamming http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WlCdiU9IzA this season so hard to pick against them here. Odessa 45, Carthage 20
Korb Destroyers (5-2) v Sumatra Seahawks (2-5)
It seems the league has got on to Sumatra and they are pretty much falling out of contention, but you never know when they may jump up and bite again. Korb looks like a team that woke up after that Cincy loss though. At any rate, I think this game is probably gonna Hurt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o22eIJDtKho for Sumatra at the end of the day. Korb 52, Sumatra 17
Cincinnati Shockers (4-3) v Milwaukee Juggernaughts (3-4)
Only one game separates these two teams yet it feels like Cincy is playing much better right now. They are on the precipice of the top 10 Power Poll and if they keep playing like they have recently they’ll be in. The Juggs meanwhile have lost two straight. Cincy, you look like the Cream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKhvFcB-dWU of the crop in this one. Cincy 49, Juggs 28
Nashville Hounds (4-3) v Krungthep Garudas (3-4)
These two teams took it on the chin last time out and it’s time for one of them to make a move. One of these teams need their players to step up like Heroes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYjBQKIOb-w if they’re going to make a serious playoff run this season. I just get the feeling those players live in Krungthep. Garudas 38, Nashville 28
E-City Mercenaries (4-3) v Moosejaw Roughriders (1-6)
Early in the season I kept trying to rule at ECM as a real contender and they kept calling bullshit on me. They have my attention now. I am surprised and a little sad to see MJ probably headed back down to CPL for a season or two, but they’ll be back. Right now they’re blowing a bit like a Candle in the Wind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoOhnrjdYOc ECM 40, MJ 20
Lincoln Navigators (3-4) v Drunken Addicts of Omerta (3-4)
These are two 3-4 teams headed in opposite directions. Lincoln was dangerously close to losing their grip on the season but now are coming on strong like we expected early. Omerta meanwhile seems to be fading. Well, the season goes on With or Without You http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmSdTa9kaiQ and there’s always time to regain momentum. Lincoln 45, Omerta 21
C-Town MF’n Hood (2-5) v Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps (0-7)
I won’t lie, it’s been a rough season for TSW, but at least a learning experience. Meanwhile Hood’s run in the WL is in serious jeopardy after dropping 5 of their first 7 games. Not only has TSW been losing though but they’ll once again have the Roadhouse Blues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU9JWukf07c in C-Town. Hood 52, TSW 13

Game of the Week
Paris Musketeers (7-0) v Indianapolis Gurupies (4-3)
Paris got a big-time win over Alpine last time out and may have silenced their critics that they had accumulated some easy wins. Hey, it’s WL, there aren’t many easy wins, so what’s that all about? Indy meanwhile was flying high in the top 10 and looking good. Now they are in danger of falling out of the top 8 of their own conference, much less overall. Will they step it up here? Should be a Thriller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnqjkJTMaA Paris 45, Indy 42
Other Games
Canton Immortals (5-2) v Krakow Ice Dragons (2-5)
Canton has looked great at times and struggled a bit at times this season, including last week. KID played tough last week but still dropped their 5th straight game and are now in danger of becoming irrelevant. It’s not too late only 2 games out of the playoff race though. Will they rise up or Go With The Flow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcHKOC64KnE Canton 35, Krakow 28
Alpine (5-2) v Somalia Pirates (4-3)
While Alpine is currently sitting at the 3 spot and Somalia at 11, only 1 game separates them. Quite a bit of parity this season. Somalia however has beaten no one with a winning record at this point, but give them credit for doing what they should. Unless chronoaug lets a Woman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLGde-7mIyA distract him again, I see Alpine rolling here. Alpine 49, Somalia 21
Sofia Spiders (4-3) v Palembang Royally Drunken Monks (1-6)
Sofia has lost 2 straight and 3 of 4, but only one of those games got out of hand. They need a victory to get going again, so along come the 1-6 Monks, which could be just what they need. The Monks’ best hope is if the game is played Under Cover of Darkness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l09H-3zzgA and they can get Sofia drunk. Sofia 35, Monks 28
East St. Louis Tire Fires (4-3) v Providence Radicals (2-5)
Two WL stalwarts that are playing much better as of late, especially the tar fars. ESL seemed slow to adjust to the new sim on D, but have since done so and won 4 of 5 games. That Providence D has shaped up recently as well. With all of his antics, rusty is a bit of a Modern Day Cowboy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avAvkdYa3qM but he does know his dotball. ESL 42, Providence 30
Honolulu Hurricane Wife Carriers (4-3) v Queensland Exile (2-5)
My apologies to QE, I think I got uf’s attention by dropping HHWC out of the Power Poll and he now seems focused on destruction. Ya, mah bad. Seriously though HHWC is looking once again like their usually-dangerous selves while QE looks pretty good but probably not a playoff team. Just enjoy these last moment of Silent Lucidity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhat-xUQ6dw before the game. HHWC 28, QE 14
Mayan Prophecy (4-3) v Three Kingdom Warriors (0-7)
Mayan is facing their second straight winless team. After being stunned by the Monks’ big comeback last week, I think they’ll be on the ball against TKW. Just in case. The Winds of Change http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4RjJKxsamQ blow swiftly around here and you want to make sure and stay upwind. Mayan 56, TKW 6
Rosarica Titans of Fire (4-3) v Eastern European Alliance (4-3)
This could end up being the best game of the week. One team will propelled into the top 8 and the other still hanging onto the fringes just outside of the playoff picture. They have only 1 win against a team with a winning record between the two of them, so it’s time to show what you’ve got. I would do whatever weird stuff it takes to get ready for this one, maybe even a Kiss From A Rose http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMD2TwRvuoU Ya, that was a tough title to fit in there... RTF 38, EEA 35
