Another appearance by the Spiders and a first time entry from Nick the Quick S and his Queensland Exiles. Let's take a look at the action.

Sofia gets the ball first. First play from scrimmage was fun, Chad Dawson just keeps shaking off defenders as he gains 28-yards, fun replay:

On 4th and 1.5 from the opponents 39 Sofia punts, I might have gone for it, but then again my 4th down conversions this year have been awful:

Queensland goes 3 and out and punts on 4th and 1. Sofia takes over and also goes 3 and out. Followed by another Queensland punt. A real barn-burner early, but things will get exciting later I promise.

Sofia takes over and finally breaks the scoring drought on a drive setup by a nice Chad Dawson run followed by a Curtis Ramsey to Jada Annelle 30-yard screen pass for a TD:

Sofia 7 - Queensland 0

Queensland's offense is still sputtering but after a punt the Spiders crawl up the field and kick a FG that was setup by three nice medium passes by Ramsey to Chad Dawson twice and one to Meta Morpho:

Sofia 10 - Queensland 0

Sofia forces another punt and Sofia looks to be firmly in control. But then the Exiles defense makes a huge play. Rich Gaffney picks off this Ramsey pass and returns it 11-yards into Spider territory:

A few plays later it is John M Stephens ripping off a 17-yard run for a TD and Queensland is on the board:

Sofia 10 - Queensland 7

Queensland holds and uses some short passing to get in line for a long field goal and Ozzie Vanderjacked hits a 54-yarder to tie it:

Then after another punt Queensland uses the clock and drives into FG range with :26 left thanks to this 23-yard connection from Shou Shogun Gunkan to Will Williams:

Queensland 13 - Sofia 10

With :19 left Ramsey hits Kibbutz for 37-yards and they are in position to tie it just before the half but the FG is wide:

The Exiles get the ball first in the 2nd half but immediately go 3 and out. THe Spiders drive right down the field and get it to the Exile 3-yard line. But on a 3rd and goal Finn Zachary makes a monster hit and forces a fumble, the offense recovers but it holds the Spiders to a FG instead of a TD, big play:

Queensland 13 - Sofia 13

Queensland drives to the Spider 36 with the big play being this Shogun to Stephens 23-yard pass:

But this time Vanderjacked missed the FG try from 50+ and the Spiders take over. Again the Spiders drive inside the red-zone but the Exile defense stands tall. This Pete Salper deflection on 3rd and 8 from the 10 keeps the end-zone free from Spiders, but the FG is good and Sofia re-takes the lead:

Sofia 16 - Queensland 13

We are in to the 4th quarter now and the defenses take turns forcing the offenses to punt. Queensland starts a drive with just under 10 minutes to go in the game. Shogun diagrams a play in the grass with his katana and it works as he connects with Charlie Tweeder Stuart for 14-yards:

Another connection from Shogun to Lloyd Hill picks up 17:

That gets the ball into FG range. On a 3rd and 9, Rocky Balboa wraps up Stuart for only 5-yards forcing a tying FG from Queensland:

Sofia 16 - Queensland 16

Sofia's offense takes over with 6:14 left and they answer right back. The Ramsey connection to Owen Casey picks up 26 huge yards:

Then they grind out a few more first downs and with 1:29 left in the game facing a 3rd and 11 they play it safe and run the ball picking up just 5. But the FG is good and Sofia is back on top:

Sofia 19 - Queensland 16

Queensland has 1:08 left when their offense marches on to the field to start at their 31-yard line. Shogun wstes little time hitting Yancy Breakaway Blue for 21-yards:

Rasta Rogers sacks Shogun near midfield setting up a 2nd and 16:

The Exiles get the ball first but can only pickup one first down. Facing a 4th and .5 on their own 40 they punt. Now some might think that is foolish, why not run it up the gut. But it works wonderfully when Slimmer Shadier pins the Spiders at their own 1-yard line:
