Game of the Week
Dallas Longhorns (5-0) v E-City Mercenaries (3-2)
The current edition of GoTW features one team trying to hold on to the top of the conference against another team trying to collect enough wins to make the playoffs. Both are playing pretty well right now. With a couple of bad losses intermixed with some quality wins, it remains to be seen if ECM can take down the Longhorns. Just lay off the Cocaine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG_P5TMt87k for gameplanning purposes. Dallas 49, ECM 20
Other Games
Machu Picchu Hidden Dragons (5-0) v Milwaukee Juggernaughts (3-2)
The Juggs are picking up some momentum and their earlier wins over ECM and Nashville could come in handy later on. MPHD meanwhile is have no problems at all, so the only question is how far it carries into the playoffs. Taut is always vigilant and you know he’ll have his troops amassed All Along the Watchtower http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bng3agUOYiI MPHD 34, Juggs 20
Korb Destroyers (4-1) v Cincinnati Shockers (2-3)
Having recovered from their big loss to MPHD, Korb is moving. Speaking of moving, Cincy is obviously a good team but they need to make their move here pretty soon. Every journey starts small, and even a Stairway to Heaven http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFik1D1zPhQ starts with one brick. Or something. Korb 40, Cincy 34
Odessa Mojo (4-1) v Krungthep Garudas (3-2)
The Garudas have really recovered from their slow start and are beginning to look like they plan to be a WL mainstay nowadays instead of a visitor every couple of season. For the Mojo, it was already going to be a tough place to play, but those Bangkok denizens will be fired up with mini helmet day. You know that Garudas team is their Pride and Joy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vo23H9J8o8 for sure. Krungthep 27, Odessa 24
Nashville Hounds (3-2) v Moosejaw Roughriders (1-4)
While MJ is playing better recently and are certainly a threat, it’s starting to look like they are on the express train back to CPL at this point. But hey, now that I said that, watch them finish 12-4. Outside of one game, Nashville has looked pretty good. Will MJ put in Soul Sacrifice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JryQXilMj4 needed to win this? Nashville 45, MJ 17
Sumatra Seahawks (2-3) v Lincoln Navigators (1-4)
Sumatra is fighting admirably and are in the playoff hunt, defying my preseason predictions. Also defying my preseason predictions, Lincoln is not looking so hot at all right now. Is Lincoln going to turn it around, or are they getting Comfortably Numb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkJNyQfAprY with the season as is? Sumatra 26, Lincoln 23
The Drunken Addicts of Omerta (2-3) v Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps (0-5)
Omerta had a heart breaking loss to ECM and they’ve been pretty consistent for the season. TSW has also been consistent, but mainly on the other end of the spectrum. The season doesn’t have to be Made of Tears http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAalYg53V30 though, it can always turn around. Omerta 56, TSW 3
C-Town MF’n Hood (1-4) v Carthage Mad Clash (1-4)
These are two pretty good 1-4 teams and both have competed. Hood especially has played lock-down offense and had a shot in every game, but they just can’t seem to score. One team is about to fall to 1-5 and be virtually on their way out of WL and that will just the XYZ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mR0tzt9XaM of their current tour here. Hood 20, Carthage 17

Game of the Week
Alpine (4-1) v Indianapolis Gurupies (4-1)
Slam dunk GoTW. This should be a damn good one. It will be a dogfight and whichever team makes it Through The Fire and Flames http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jgrCKhxE1s will be a very sexeh 5-1. Alpine’s loss to Lincoln looks inexplicable right now, but since then they’ve been gold. This one is so close home field could be the difference. Indy 38, Alpine 34
Other Games
Paris Musketeers (5-0) v Krakow Ice Dragons (2-3)
Paris has looked like a true force right now while KID is on a three game skid. They did look more competitive last time out though. Don’t Bang Your Head http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJChh7ghGnE too much though, just clean it up against Paris. That unfortunately is much easier said than done. Paris 52, Krakow 20
Sofia Spiders (4-1) v Queensland Exiles (1-4)
Tbh, I kinda expected these two teams to be in the opposite positions they are right bow before the season start. Hey, I can admit when I’m wrong, it happens a lot. QE’s season kinda reminds of that Sweet Child O Mine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w7OgIMMRc4 the Monks right now. That’s not good. Sofia 45, QE 17
Canton Immortals (4-1) v Three Kingdom Warriors (0-5)
Canton just pasted my beloved Monks in embarrassing fashion and they’ve checked that off their agenda. Next on their agenda? More of the same this week. Welcome Home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNNlRM765q8 TKW, this could get ugly. I know the feeling. Canton 56, TKW 10
East St. Louis Tire Fires (3-2) v Mayan Prophecy (3-2)
Two teams that have recovered from slow starts to win 3 straight collide where one continues their momentum while the other will get a minor setback. It should be some pretty minor Damage Control http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8pUqln36po tbh. Much like the above GoTW, I’m going with the home team as it should be pretty close. ESL 40, Mayan 30
Somalia Pirates (3-2) v Rosarica Titans of Fire (2-3)
Arguably every WL win is a quality win, but between these two teams, they only have one win against a team with a winning record. That won’t change here no matter who wins, but it doesn’t matter because all Ws look the same to the final standings. It’s good news for One http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM8bTdBs-cw of them here. Somalia 35, RTF 25
Eastern European Alliance (2-3) v Palembang Royally Drunken Monks (0-5)
EEA has had a few rough games this season but they’re still right in the thick of things and I would not be surprised at all to see them in the Zeta final 8. The Monks have had a rough time every game, but at least they were competitive up until Canton showed up. Will the Monks continue to drop Like a Stone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QU1nvuxaMA or will they start recovering? EEA 42, Monks 20
Honolulu Hurricane Wife Carriers (2-3) v Providence Radicals (1-4)
While it’s true HHWC got run last time out they’re still right in the middle of the playoff race and I would be surprised if they don’t make it. Because they’re them. I would normally say the same about Providence but there can be only one winner. The other will be Down In A Hole http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8hT3oDDf6c for sure. HHWC 34, Providence 9
