Usual disclaimer: this is my opinion only. If you don’t like it, I still love you.
Welcome to rock vocalists week. Songs featuring some of the best vocalists in rock history.
Picks record this season: 39-25

Game of the Week
Krungthep Garudas (2-2) v Cincinnati Shockers (2-2)
Unlike in a couple of the other 2-2 matchups below, I think both of these teams are rock solid and should make the playoffs. The Garudas D is straight up nasty while the Shockers are more of a scoring machine. Unstoppable force or immovable object? I hear of the of the teams has a Killer Queen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMz-wi50ACU rocking the o-line, can’t go against that. Krungthep 27, Cincinnati 24
Other Games
Machu Picchu Hidden Dragons (4-0) v Sumatra Seahawks (2-2)
What, no GoTW for MPHD? Inconceivable. Sumatra is playing pretty well this season, but it’s More Than A Feeling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSR6ZzjDZ94 that MPHD is favored. btw, if you doubt Brad Delp’s vocal resume, listen to the entire song and you will doubt no longer. MPHD 56, Sumatra 24
Dallas Longhorns (4-0) v Carthage Mad Clash (1-3)
Dallas is just rolling and living up to or even exceeding their own expectations. Carthage meanwhile is off to a bit of a slow start, but at least they beat the Juggs. I may like Dallas here but Don’t Stop Believing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I-SbwCHJ80 Carthage. Dallas 45, CMC 30
Korb Destoyers (3-1) v Lincoln Navigators (1-3)
Usually by this time of the season mirror image record matchups start to become telling. I’m not sure what’s wrong with Lincoln since they look pretty talented but the sim did change quite a bit this time around. At this point though it’s going to take some kind of Uprising http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8KQmps-Sog by Lincoln for them to win. Or maybe MPHD’s game plan and dots. Korb 49, Lincoln 17
Odessa Mojo (3-1) v Moosejaw Roughriders (1-3)
MJ’s defense is back on track after switching away from the zone experiment but the offense is still hurting. Then again Krungthep can make it appear that way for a good offense as well. Odessa meanwhile recovered from an understandable loss to Dallas and is looking strong. Down on the high plains they still like to play Freebird http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np0solnL1XY during their halftime shows making it hard to beat the Mojo. Odessa 30, Moosejaw 27
Milwaukee Juggernaughts (2-2) v Tyrrhenian Sea Wasps (0-4)
TSW has scored a total of 24 points on the season and been shut out a couple of times, so their main goal at this point has to be steady improvement over anything else. The Juggs are looking like a fringe playoff team. I am expecting No Surprises http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5CVsCnxyXg in this one. Juggs 38, TSW 6
Nashville Hounds (2-2) v C-Town MF’n Hood (1-3)
If Hood keeps playing like they are they’re going to have to move their monster thread back to pro. Really though they have been in every game and their D is rock solid. I could be wrong but I think 1 of these teams makes the playoffs, so this should help determine which one is The Pretender http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBjQ9tuuTJQ Hood 28, Nashville 24
E-City Mercenaries (2-2) v The Drunken Addicts of Omerta (2-2)
Much like the last matchup, I can see one of these teams making the playoffs but probably not both. Omerta has been a little more consistent to this point as ECM has a couple of horrendous losses to go with their two nice wins. The loser here could end up a little Thunderstruck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f1cwycSWq0 in the playoff race, but it’s very early still. Omerta 45, ECM 34

Zeta
Game of the Week
Paris Musketeers (4-0) v Rosarica Titans of Fire (2-2)
Now alone in first place in Zeta, Paris has certainly earned a GoTW. RTF seems to like to win every other game, which would suggest they take this one, but trends are sometimes made to be broken. RTF will bring the heat, but I don’t know that they can Break On Through http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbiPDSxFgd8 to the other side of that Paris o-line. Paris 49, RTF 42
Other Games
Sofia Spiders (3-1) v Honolulu Hurricane Wife Carriers (2-2)
Two teams that look good but both need to avoid a two game losing streak. I can see this one being lower scoring than usual for this season with two excellent defenses. The key might be which team over thinks and possibly makes a mistake. uf is an ice cold Ramblin Man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1x28jaeyX2s so you gotta like him here. HHWC 27, Sofia 24
Canton Immortals (3-1) v Palembang Royally Drunken Monks (0-4)
Canton finally picked up their first loss against a rejuvenated ESL team (bad news for rest of Zeta), while the Monks have played every game close but have yet to break through. I guarantee you there won’t be a Sober http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqlj7bNdV8o Monk in the house for this one and Canton will certainly be heavy favorites here. Canton 35, Monks 27
Indianapolis Gurupies (3-1) v Providence Radicals (1-3)
Providence busted out the mini helmets and also busted out their first win of the season in a squeaker. Indy meanwhile manhandled Krakow in epic fashion. Indy had the one surprising loss but say they Won’t Get Fooled Again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp6-wG5LLqE so we’ll see about that one. Providence is only 3 points away from being 2-2 so they are certainly a threat. Indy 40, Providence 33
Alpine (3-1) v Krakow Ice Dragons (2-2)
This is a game about two teams headed opposite directions and of momentum. Krakow got off to an amazing start no one saw coming and since has not looked so good. Alpine was shocked in their opening but has since gone on a tear. WL is a bitch it’s not simple like in the Matrix where you just follow the White Rabbit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WANNqr-vcx0 for answers. Alpine 55, Krakow 13
Mayan Prophecy (2-2) v Queensland Exile (1-3)
Mayan seems to have stabilized and turned the corner while QE seems to have fallen off the map altogether in losing 3 straight. WL is a fickle lover though so things can change. QE is definitely Livin’ On The Edge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nqcL0mjMjw right now. Mayan 35, QE 24
East St. Louis Tire Fires (2-2) v Eastern European Alliance (2-2)
Two teams who have had some early struggles combined with some success but I think both end up on the playoffs at the end of the day. Just remember WL is all about details, so everything has to be buttoned up and that last one is always the Hardest Button to Button http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLESpHrtvxs EEA hates when I pick them to win so they should like this. ESL 42, EEA 30
Somalia Pirates (2-2) v Three Kingdom Warriors (0-4)
Somalia gets their second straight game against a winless team. They’ve got to like that. The Monks at least put up a good fight and I don’t see even that much from TKW this season. This one could be a case of the Joker and Thief http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySjXFjLTagQ in action. Somalia 62, TKW 10
