lets say you have two OT, backup has 90% of attributes of starter across the board. For example, starter has strength of 60, backup has 54. how would you setup the sub pattern for these 2 to optimize performance at that position?

Tough question to answer... what is the stamina for each player? That would affect the sub out number, which you may want around 70 so each plays when they have high energy. The sub in number could be around 80 or 85 depending on how much playing time you want the backup to get and how quickly you want the starter back in. I've been doing 60 out 80 in but our backups aren't as good.
