Home, Retired Players, Trophies, Top Plays,Friends, and then maybe a Favorite Threads area....

thats the whole concept to mark what threads you want to watch or you can just mark a forum

So if there are 25 replies to a thread that I am "watching", I would get 25 alerts?

You don't have to watch any threads if you don't want to.

I'm just saying there's got to be a better way to do it without having your inbox or alerts flooded.

One forum that I frequent sends me an email when a thread I have either posted in or subscribed to gets a new post. It will then not send a new email until I have actually visited the thread again. There is also a screen to unsubscribe to threads as well as turn the option off all together.
