Please fix the Hall of Fame so that only retired players are inducted into the HOF.
Use a combination voting system to involve the Public and a HOF Committee via a HOF Ballot.
Include the public so they are involved in the process and count their vote as 25% of the final vote.
Fame should be included when voting.Well its in the name of the Hall itself.
Players do have a Fame tracker already we could use for this listed with points on the players profile page.
Please also remove or rename the players that are called (Retired Player) theres a ton of those.
Another way to filter in what players get named to the Hall of Fame would be put the HOF Committee to work.(A commited HOF Committee)
Players that retire should be retired 1 full season before being named to a HOF ballot.
That would give plenty of time for a committee to go over HOF Ballots and make a solid decision who gets in and who doesn't.
Requirements should be met so not just any dot gets in the HOF.
Requirements should be: championships, league awards, strength of competition, gathered career stats and so on.
Seeing dots in the Hall of fame that are still playing their careers is in no way a Hall of Fame and that dot shouldn't be a Hall of Famer *Yet*
Then we can look at the Hall of Fame the way its supposed to be.
Not this thing that looks like a list of Greats not HOF'ers. They are already ranked that way.

no reason post beta players should have to compete against players who often benefited from exploits. Each level should have its own HOF

I say now that we are out of Beta have a old HoF for Pre Beta and start a new HoF for post Beta. basically any Dot that is over 40 days old would be Pre-beta and any player younger than 40 days would be post Beta.

Ya I agree, only allowing retired players that kept their name would be a huge improvement.

it could probably use other improvements, but just that little one would be a big help

How about allowing a search hall of fame by player name and or agent name.
In that same mode adding an icon to the agents screen for HoF players and by scrolling over the icon, you can click a link to view that player.

1 rule must be all HoF elected players will have their builds open for all to view.

There should be a separate hall of fame for each wave of players, either grouped by each change in training, or by each creation season.

+1 to a Hall of Fame based on creation season.

+1 only retired dots, that are named, in the HOF

Fix the way HOF is calculated. Too many people are taking advantage of post decline dots by playing them against inferior competition and running up huge statistics that count towards the HOF rankings. I suggest the following post decline:

Take only a percentage of the stats post decline and count them towards the HOF, in addition to the hit they are taking in inferior leagues. Recalculate the HOF with this formula.

Percent of stats to count towards the HOF per season post decline:
Season 1: 75%
Season 2: 50%
Season 3: 25%
Season 4: 0%

Active players are currently showing up in the HOF.... kind of odd if you ask me.

My thought.... not sure if it was posted up but I am not going through 8 pages to look for it.

Obviously... if there is no name attached, it goes away. If you were that good but not smart enough to save the name, you don't deserve the spot.

The HOF will have 2 sections... Active vs Retired.

The Retired section will only contain Retired players with names.... pretty simple. Want to stay in the HOF???? Keep the name.

The Active section will have the active players current HOF rank as well as the potential/accurate location if they were to retire on that day.

HB - Joe Blow Runner - 1500/2500

This way... a player getting ready to retire will get to see where they would stand in the retired section.

Dunno.... but I don't like seeing nameless drones filling up what should be a good thing.

Even better, make a HOF for each league tier (WL HOF, Pro HOF, etc.). One option would be that a dot only shows up in one HOF (based on the highest level he played at), and is ranked against the other dots in that HOF by career stats. Another option would be to have a player be in the HOF for each tier he played in, with his ranks based on their impact while playing in that tier (minimum 2+ seasons?). Either one would be fine with me, or both, or another that someone else thinks of; as long as this thing gets changed.

I also agree with the active/retired option, especially with the blank players. If you don't keep the name, the player doesn't go in the HOF...I think that is only fair.

I would also like to see some stats weighed the same.

It appears that SACKS are weighed a TON for all Defensive Positions. Don't get me wrong, sacks are important, but let's be fair for some other positions.

What about the LBers, CB's and Safeties that get the Forced Fumbles, Knock the Ball Loose, Get the Pass Defends and even a lot come down with Interceptions.

You have three LB positions and I know it would be hard to determine LOLB, MLB and ROLB -- but those LBers that play some coverage for PD's/Int's and Force Fumbles shouldn't be kept out of this HOF just because they don't average 10+ sacks a season.

Same thing with the CB's who constantly win the PD/Int trophies or have a low Completion Against percentage. They are doing their job by covering the WR's, but are penalized because they don't have a lot of sacks either.

Here's a few suggestions:

Limit the HOF to players who keep their name on retirement.
Limit the HOF to one player per account per sesason (ex: dimmy finster could have only 24 players in the HOF after season 24).
Limit the HOF to players with actual names (ex: Offensive Stop 1 would be ineligible, but someone with a rediculous name like Wideload McGuffin would be eligible).
Limit the HOF to the highest level leagues (Rookie League HOF player? Please!).

Just my 2 cents.

It's time to start a second generation hall of fame, and store the old one deep into archival history

The HOF committee did not come up with that abomination. They were responsible for the HOF that we all voted on. Bort is the one that gave us that lolHoF that is really just a garbage top player ranking (why he calls it a HoF is beyond me?).
