hey all

please support this suggestion (let us use the scouting tools for private scrimmages, if we have access to the game).

I'm sure it's been suggested before but I couldn't find it. If somebody knows where it was suggested before, let me know and I'll go support that instead of bugging everybody here.

Just stop the private scrims. If I want to attend the game and scout it, I should be allowed to. :-)

I agree with this. When they introduced private scrimmages and allowed agents to buy 2-3 teams, this is a clear advantage for teams today that wasn't available in the past. Rich get richer scheme.

Yeah, and a CPU team is going to be a great scrimmage. Obviously the people who buy the extra teams and scrimmage them for extra looks have the rosters filled on those extra teams. It's a lot more than 400 flex.

Edit: That being said, I don't mind the advantage

I don't know about everyone else here, but the majority of scrims I do are with other teams I have connections with so we can both get some looks.

Also, even if people do own a second team and scrim with that, the second team is almost always no/no so it's really just the team cost and the upfront cost since you get everything back at retirement. The couple times I've had a full test team have been when I made a big flex purchase because I knew I'd need it in the future but had excess over what I'd need that season so having that up front investment didn't affect anything.

Just saying I don't think finances are really a big issue here

Good point. My test team will be no/no, so I stand corrected. It is only 400 flex once player costs are refunded.

Added a suggestion to not allow these people to scrimmage themselves: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4615583

No/No doesnt matter that much in pee wee until later in the season.
It is an advantage when you can scrimmage your own team every day and can control what is ran
Its an advantage when you can test all kinds of tactics every day to see which works best and which doesn't
You can test things on a dime to where other teams cannot.
It's a clear advantage anyway you slice it, it's like having a practice team and basically scrimmaging yourself.
I could care less either way but it is what it is. Great teams have done this in the past 5 seasons. Why not, it's an option that is allowed to anyone.

True enough, but as DirtyMike pointed out, in the long run, it only costs 400 flex per season to field a no/no team. Why get rid of the option, when it's economically feasible for everyone to field a test team. Those who chose not to should not complain when others do it.

Even if you don't have your own team, it's really not that hard to get scrims set up with teams you've played against before. Especially now that i'm up here, there are quite a few team in my old silver league that i've got good rivalries going with that would love to scrim and improve their team at the same time by facing a gold team.

If I had to guess, pretty much any silver owner out there who wants to be successful will take scrims from gold teams to test things out, so its not really a handicap to anyone imo

I know a lot of teams willing to scrim anyone. Most owners are approachable and are down for whatever. I would rather scrim a strange team than my own, I generally get a lot more out of it.
