So to make a long story short, I volunteered to help with recruiting and was given the reins to make offers. The owner and I, without talking to each other, over-signed at the TE position--we now have 3 TEs on the roster, 2 of the receiving variety. The two receiving TEs have nearly identical builds--I'll take the bullet and trade away MY receiving TE if you have a good dot at a different position to offer in return.
Make your offer to me via PRIVATE MESSAGE rather than via the "Make Trade" screen selection--I'll need to explain what's going on to the owner first so that he doesn't think something shady is going down. Once I get approval from him, I'll resign my guy to a trades-allowed contract and THEN we can formalize the deal.
