Shutdown Coverage is one of the preferred bonus SA's listed for a coverage LB, but someone said it doesn't work on LB's, so want to check here.

yes it works, as long as you are in man coverage. It does not work if you are playing zone coverage or blitzing.

its a good option if youre in man coverage a lot. theres a reason so many CBs have it.

I'm not about to go give you links since I'm too lazy, but you can compare his last 2 seasons dawtball wize (have to watch really) and the previous 2 seasons in the WL as a coverage LB. He had SDC for the first 2 and CD for the last 2 seasons.

Swapped some equip around before this season started to give him 135 speed.

Depends. First Step and Superior Vision are the best two SAs for LBs. If you want to build up a 3rd, CD would be a good choice.
