Hi guys - have been mostly trying to go it alone without looking at anything, but it's getting difficult to tell how well I'm doing and I'm having trouble sticking with a team. Any thoughts?

Should sum it up.
Only do atts till like level 48 or more. You jumped into Special Abilitys waaaaaay to soon. Just remake. Train up your main att to 31. Then do the same to your next att. For example: For a Runstuffing DT train up Str till it hits 31. Done use skill points on it before, it's a waist. But once it hits 31 you should dump all points into it till the Str hits 77-83. Then do the same for Agi. And so on. If you need help just pm me and I can help you.
