I'm considering building two OLB in a 4-3 defensive unit.

I'm thinking building both combo (as I don't really care about SA bonus)

My plan would be to train these stats to those caps :
73 Spd
73 Agi
73 Vis
68 Tack
68 Str
48 Jump
48 Stam

What you guys think about it?
Will it be effective? fast enough? agile enough?

most people get speed and agility up to 83 caps. 68 tackling and strength is on the lower end of what will be effective at high levels.

not a bad starting point for discussion though

Your sure to need at least one or preferably 2 pieces of MT% w/ that build. Also, you'll be able to take Spd, Agi, and Vis a bit higher than that w/ no problem unless you load up on SA's.

Agreed...If you are not taking SAs very high I would take your first 3 to 81, and tackling/strength to 74.

68 Tackling is just fine.

Q. How much tackling do you think my LB has? 107 tackles... 5 misses in EE Pro.

A. 63

and I have seen LB's with almost 80 tackling miss far more than my LB's. It's all about the right mix of AEQ and VA's.

63 likely won't cut it in higher leagues.... The season before didn't your LB have 15 missed tackles and only 46 tackles playing in the World League? If so.... that's not a very productive ratio....

Common belief is that more tackling increases your radius thereby giving you more opportunity to make a tackle, but also, more chance to miss.

I don't buy the higher tackling because I can see builds on our teams and uber-high tackling does not equate into great tackling.

60 tackling with good AEQ and VA's > 80 tackling

now if you have 80 tackling and get all the AEQ, VA's... yea he'll do a little better but at what cost? I'd rather put all that SP into something else. I have LB's approaching 100 base speed.

I'll take uber speed over uber tackling.... even if my guy misses... he usually stops the guy so others finish the play. So as much as I hate missed tackles... they usually prevent big plays.

New plans :
78 Spd
78 Agi
78 Vis
74 Str
68 Tack (I don't want it higher, I like 68, as I can see it's just enough to be efficient)
48 Jump
48 Stam
48 Conf

I don't like SA for LB so I'll concentrate on Attritubes.

Also, Because I'm creating 2x LB I think I'll try to play on Vis/Tack/Str

I'll be able to have one very fast/agile, good vision, good for tack/str

and one with good speed and awesome vision and high tackling/str

time will tell me which is better

You're so wrong and it's not even funny. And you can have all those things and more... even with ridiculous speed. Carry on though...

EE Pro is not the end all be all of dawtball.

How much tackling you decide to run with depends on the type of build you're gunning for. I'm certain there's a place for both high tackling and low tackling at the LB position.
