I remember a couple of Seasons ago somebody posted a thread in Regards to Silver Teams making the leap to Gold... It was an interesting read, so I was wondering what your thoughts are on this Seasons Crop...

Speaking as the owner of Detroit, we haven't been much of a challenge. Especially since it's all no/no's. I learned a few things defensively but haven't put enough effort into scouting. Last season we beat TIA in silver, which was a fluke, thanks to special teams and just squeaked by Capua to get into gold (apparently they didn't tag my rush QB) but the first 2 games in Gold I got burned pretty bad on a few plays. Tried to play catch up but pretty much have failed. But it's been a fun and educational.

This season, all of the new teams have been virtual non-factors with the exception of CIKC...

BPWB, ogopogo and detroit have showed some promise from their games this season.
It's not like a new team can step in and win gold like BNI did two seasons ago

The five Silver teams that I HC or DC for are 69-1. Too bad I fail hard at playoffs.

1.Springfield
2.Jesus freaks....havent really heard about much here
3.DA/Crackertown....slight edge to DA, only because they are hungry to get to gold...Crackertown is dangerous and can play with the best of them in peewee though...
4.TIA assuming gerr keeps the pedal to the medal...maybe he lets off intentionally though
5.San Diego...i'm not in the know of these teams
6.Eels, but i dont know...whos boosting?
7.WVWPR can win the league, will they?
8. Goats-lots of good teams here, but i;m not picking against my own team

1) STDs or Spurbury, but I think STDs is the better team. If they are y/y could be competitive in gold.
2) Jesus Freaks might be decent team if y/y
3) Devils Advocates, will be a competitive gold team
4) TIA or Philly Fury if Gerr drops a game on purpose.
5) Muddwhomps or Condors both are good teams
6) Eels could be a competitive team if y/y
7) WVWPR
8)Goats

Edit to answer OP: I think there are a few good teams to come up from last season. Detroit is the team I like to keep an eye on from the gold rookies this season. Buzz has made some good adjustments throughout the season, and I look forward to seeing what he puts together next season.

Thing about TIA is I have not scouted a single game all season! TIA is a non-boosting, partial CEQ team that has been on auto-pilot all season. All I do is tweak my defensive silver plays, which makes the tweaks for multiple teams, and I tweak the plays in my passing packages based on what's hot and what's not. I never scout or adjust the plays for a specific team. Will this winning streak continue through the playoffs, don't know, but it's been working very well so far. Hell, look at TIA's scrimmage record, only lost 2 games all season and I have played a lot of quality teams. I just don't know why TIA is doing so well, wish I could figure it out and bring that to my Bears team...

I was counting on you scouting LFL. I went away from what we usually do but you stayed the course.
