#1-Louisiana Screaming Pelicans(11-0)--Louisiana take down the Bali Insurrection(4-7) without any problem blowing them out, 67-3. The Pelican defense held Bali to only 177 yards in the route. Another good game by -=Champ=- Courtney Roby who added 2 more punt return TD's to his resume. On offense the Pelicans were led by -=Champ=- Drew Brees who went 28/44 for 305 yards, and a TD. On defense, =Champ=- Jonathan Vilma racked up 8 tackles and a PD. The # Pelicans will go on the road on Saturday to face the #7 Mayan Prophecy 2012(6-5).
#2 Texas Lone Stars(11-0)-The Lone Stars extend their wining streak to 11 games and they hold on to the #2 slot after beating the #3 Village Dogs(8-3), 19-10. This was a defensive game for the most part that wasn't decided until late in the 4th quarter. Texas only took a 13-3 lead into halftime, and early in the 3rd quarter the Dogs put a drive together capped by a 8 yard TD pass from Matt Bradford to Sweet Rice that closed the gap to 13-10. Tradewest didn't mess around adding another FG on their next drive by Heavy Boots who booted a 53 yard kick to take the lead to 16-10. He added a 44 yard FG early in the 4th and the Village Dogs could not recover although they did have some opportunities but the drives came up short with some solid Lone Star pass defense. The #2 Lone Stars were led on offense by Whodey just ran by you! who finished with 46 total yards and a TD. On defense, Lance Pixley had a nice game with 3 tackles, 2 sacks and 4 hurries. Texas will host the #9 Tradewest(6-5) on Saturday, a team that has lost 3 of 4 and they will be looking to right the ship.
#3 Doinitin Djibouti(8-3)-The Djibouti have no problem knocking off the FOUR HORSEMEN(1-10), as they blow them out 58-10. Doinitin moves up to the #3 spot again with the win. The Stockholm offense was limited to only 163 yards as the Bay Breakers defense was too much for them to handle. The Bay Breakers were led on offense by Ty McFly who finished with 3 catches, for 75 yards and 2 TD.s On special teams, Dwain Chambers had a big 89 yard kick-off rturn in the 3rd quarter. On defense, Andrei Arlovski forced a big fumble early in the first quarter that led to a 34 yard fumble recovery by Giuseppe Orlando that he took to the house. The #5 Bay Breakers will travel on Saturday to face the Red Fort Royals(3-8).
#6-L.A. Halos(8-3) -The Halos give up the first points of the game early in the 1st quarter, but rebound nicely and end up blowing out the Windsor Nobles(3-8), 51-10. The Halos actually had a couple of return TD's when Todd Kinchen took two to the house in this game. On offense, Freak finished with 86 total yards, and True Threat had 6 receptions, 87 yards and a TD. On defense, Dark Mojo ended with 5 tackles. The #6 Halos will go on the road on Saturday in the game of the week when they face the #3 Doinitin Djibouti(8-3) on Saturday.
#7 Mayan Prophecy 2012(6-5)-The Mayan have now won 6 out of 7 and one of the hottest teams in the league after finishing off Algoma Blames Stu(5-6), 43-10. The Prophecy got started early taking a 10-0 lead into halftime and then went and outscored the Stu 33-10 in the 2nd half. The wheels came off any potential Algoma upset bid when World Age Cycle forced a fumble on the Algoma kick-off return to start the 2nd half, and Ek Xib Chac recovered it and took it 24 yards for a TD breaking Stu's back for good. On offense, Mayan was led by Aerosmith Dream On who finished with 63 total yards and 2 TD.s On defense, World Age Cycle forced 2 fumbles, 1 that was returned for a TD as mentioned above, and 4 tackles. #8 The Frogtown Posse(9-2) The Frogtown Posse have no problem rolling over the The Impact Players(3-8), shutting them out 55-0 and winning their 7th in a row. This game was never really in doubt, as the Posse jumped out to a quick 24-0 first half lead in the route. The Posse were led on offense by Lipovitan Lambanog who had a big game racking up 181 yards rushing and 3 TD's. On defense, Wife Beater harassed the Impact Players with 7 tackles, 5 sacks and 3 hurries. #8 Frogtown will go on the road on Saturday when they face the VTech Hokies(3-8).
#9 Czech Yourself (9-2)-Czech moves back into the top 10 in the #9 hole as they annihilate the KC Chíefs(3-8) 78-3. This was just a total blowout as Czech scored 72 unanswered points before the Chiefs ending up kicking a FG with 3:25 left in the game to get on the board. Czech had a big day on offense and they were led by Elusively Super who abused the Chiefs for 259 rushing yards and 3 TD's. On defense, Zackary Bowman (CB) closed with 5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 hurry, and 2 PD's. Czech has a tough one coming up when they face the Porto Alegre PBR Farmers(7-4) on Saturday.
#10 Osaka Storm-(6-5)-Osaka moves back into the top 10 after outlasting the Tradewest Battleotads(6-5), 10-7. It was Bobblehead Day at the Battletoad park and Osaka was able to overcome that promotion with some solid defensive play. The Storm defense held the Toads to only 131 total yards and forced the Toads to punt 11 times. Tradewest actually had the lead for most of this game scoring first when Oerba Dia VaniIle had a big play intercepting a Terrelle, Pryor pass and returning it 92 yards for a TD giving the Toads a 7-0 lead. It wasn't until early in the 4th quarter that Osaka got the lead and held on to it, when Terrelle, Pryor got some payback connecting with Earl "Curly" Lambeau for a 3 yards TD pass that gave the Storm the lead for good. Osaka was led on offense by Ted, Ginn Jr. who rushed for a 114 yards, and on defense, T.
