I feel like the SS sucks inside for no apparent reason although he is set for a zone. These are the only examples I have because it's the only time it's been run against EEA this season.

Only the first 1 looks buggy to me. In the first replay he starts out heading inside.

On the 2nd & 3rd it looks like he starts out heading back and outside to the normal deep weak 1/2 zone spot. He just comes inside on an intercept angle because of WR path while carrying.

Bad SIM mechanics on the second two because SS should try to maintain outside position on the ball carrier, but the way the SIM is currently coded, I don't think that is a bug.

On the first replay, however, it looks like SS is head to wrong spot at the start of the play unless it is a different play and he is headed to the middle/strong 1/4 or middle zone.

Question? Is the SS set to cover the HB at all in your DAI?

At all? yeah probably on a few plays, not that one though.
He's in a zone to try and combat wr clear out with the TE and WR2 crossing

I meant on that play in your DAI. Sorry BUG. Looks like he reacted to the RB going into the middle of the line is why i asked.

Uhm, he clearly drops into a zone first. I too have noticed some tractor-beam type behavior from defenders on some screens also, as if they're being pulled toward certain blockers even if they never engage them.

Yeah, this play he's definitely in a zone, that wr is pretty fucking unstoppable though

This is a perfect assessment imo.

I do think the SS trying to intercept the WRs path that centrally is terrible, but its not really a bug.
Still needs improving but I hate sending something like this to suggestions though.

Not sure what other Bugs Mods think, but I'd like to see how consistent this is, and if its effecting all build types etc, and then see if it merits attention?

This ss isn't in a zone, but he's either in coverage against the TE or HB and doesn't do much at all as to even getting towards them.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1639526&pbp_id=4408079
same as above

same

this looks a little better

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1636979&pbp_id=6326987
after the ss drops back into his zone, watch him run inside before adjusting

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1636979&pbp_id=6327364
this is a perfect example here

Huge move inside for ss

Looking at this play, the WR catches the ball, makes a move towards the middle of the field and then bolts to the outside. AS the WR cuts to the middle, the SS reacts to him and does the same and cant recover fast enough to get back outside. I may be dead wrong but thats what i am seeing here going frame by frame

Zone coverage 101, deep as the deepest man, wide as the widest man. I'm not arguing whether or not he took a bad angle, I'm arguing "wtf does he even attempt to go inside?"

The WR makes a move to the middle of the field after catching the ball does he not? He is reacting to the ball carrier imo. Is he supposed to just sit in his zone and WAIT for the wr to come to him? He doesnt head INSIDE until AFTER the wr catches the ball and makes a move.
