#1 - Slaughterville Mayhem

No surprise here with Slaughterville Mayhem currently sitting comfortably in #1 seed. With a full lineup of coaches and led by the top QB in the league (Tommy Gun with 2540 passing yds and 45 TDs), Slaughterville cruised to a comfortable 59-7 win over closest conference rivals Smokin Midget Beaver in week 7, concreting themselves as league favorites. Defensive coach bryceps2 has put together the #2 defense, allowing only a single FG and a single TD all season. Look for either Ryan Fitzpatrick (Avalanche City) or Guess Someone's Gotta Throw the Ball (Dharma Initiatives) to provide the only real threat to this team come playoffs.

#2 - Avalanche City

A slight shock coming in at #2 is Avalanche City, currently sitting second in the Western Conference. While relying somewhat on a CPU second string team, City has managed to take full advantage of a draw which sees them facing main Rivals Dharma Initiatives in week 15. While showing promising results, and ably led by the powerhouse running duo of AVA HB1 (1863) and Chris Pratt (3076 yds), lack of coaching and defensive experience may come back to haunt City come playoffs. Look out for newcomer gunslinger Ryan Fitzpatrick (837 yds) to make an impact and pull this team off the ground running game.

#3 - New Braunfels Panthers

A real shock at #2 is the Panthers, a full three places above league leaders Dharma, and rated as the #1 offense in the league, above second place running powerhouse, Avalanche City. While an early season loss has placed the Panthers behind City in 3rd, recent form has shown improvement. If Archibald Leash (QB - 1008 yds) can get his offense into form to challenge the defense of Dharma and Avalanche City, we may see an upset come playoffs. Chauncy Bartholomew (CB) currently leads the Defensive MVP race, but will need the support of his teammates to improve, as the Panthers defense rates in at #5, the lowest of the powerhouse teams.

#4 - Smokin Midget Beaver

A week 7 pounding from Mayhem leaves SMB in second place behind leaders Mayhem with star QB The Wing Man behind held to 33 yds, almost canceling the 18 yds he was sacked for. HB Felix Barber was the only player managing ground, as the running back accounted for almost 70% of SMBs offensive yards. Another full staff and player lineup sees SMB as a favorite, with strong results against a preseason Avalanche City, and a second round exit in the official tournament. However, unless DC Miro031 can plug the gaps come playoff season, it looks like SMB will be in for a rough ride. Standout players include QB The Wing Man and HB Fire Marshall Bill, both managing 1000+ yards to date.

#5 - São José Eagles

Not much to say for the CPU team currently running on autopilot. Close wins against every other CPU team place them highly in the rankings, however with no leadership or star players, expect them to provide an easy first round for one lucky team come playoffs.

#6 - Dharma Initiatives

In a shock twist, Western Conference leaders Dharma rank last of the powerhouse teams. However, do not be deceived, as well built players and the best defense in the league have kept opponents to 3 points in the last 7 games, leaving an offensive designed for work, rather than flair to comfortably rack up win after win. HB A Great Big Phony and QB Guess Someone's Gotta Throw the Ball will challenge the rag tag defense of rivals, Avalanche City come week 15, while the ground threat of Chris Pratt and AVA HB1 will stretch the strength based defense. Look for the Dharma O-Line to post huge pancake numbers and make life difficult for any QB trying to throw the ball. The Chris Pratt (Avalanche City - RQB) vs FS Blitzer Hard and SS Blitzer from Behind will play a large part in the playoff picture, while Ryan Fitzpatrick (Avalanche City) and Archibald Leash (Panthers QB) will find themselves struggling for room.

Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully, my lads will live up to the billing, but truth to tell, Dharma Initiatives is one tough nut of a team.

I'll probably do some at some stage, hopefully soon. Gold seems to be dying, and having a 3rd party do some realistic reporting on it would throw some life into it. Getting a little practice in.

The comments are just lovely, giving a thumbnail of each team's weaknesses and strengths and a bit of their prospects as well. Well-written, indeed!

I just realized I was playing a human team this week. Looks like it was a good game.

Just so you all know... this is a purely experimental team. All of the builds are off, I'm just trying to test out new abilities that might give my team the edge in Pee Wee Gold play if I ever decide to go back and play there.

If you watch the games, you'll see the o-line interaction is a little bit strange, the defensive secondary is built for jumping, and the rushers are built to try and use head fakes on low vision pee wee defennders.

The only real players on the team are the D-line and the passing QB (kind of).

Once playoffs hit, I'll start tagging, so those QB rollouts might as well be thrown out of your playbooks.

I've opened a few of the builds if you want to see what I'm talking about. The games are much more interesting when you see what I'm trying to get the dots to do.

Just click on my roster and you'll see which builds are open.

Well, it seemed to me to be a good game, with the final 28 - 21 in OT. For my first season as an Owner and doing my own DC and OC work, I think it turned out well and I would think that if the score were reversed.

I logged in, checked the scores, blinked and had to watch the game. It was worth it.

I did the same, saminskip. That it wasn't a blow-out in favor of Dharma Initiatives was a suprise to me, all by itself.

i knew this how is the secondary with the jumping? does it seem to make a diff with PD's and catches made against you? or better yet INT??

The high vision players are playing better than the high jumping players, as I suspected. I'm running a few different combinations for my CBs based on height to see if that makes a difference to the pass deflection roll.

So far, the taller CBs are playing better against the pass, but the more agile shorter players are making plays in the backfield versus the run.

Still more data to collect.
