I've got a pair of fairly well built Centers ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1681382 & http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1681808 ) who are getting rev-caked far more often than they are pancaking defenders...

They're not identical, but they're both rockin' 150+ Strength, 100+ blocking, 82+ agility, 69 speed, two hold block pieces (>30%), and a Get Low piece. Neither has anything invested in the lolPancake SA.

Here's a look at their tournament game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1638453 • Neither had a pancake, one got rev-caked 8 times, the other three. The two DT's with the most rev-cakes ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1822155 & http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1938086 ) in this game are both under-leveled.

Any idea(s) on how to cut down the rev-cakes? Does the Pancake have a stealth bonus against getting rev-caked?

Could it be agility? Seems to me, tech man + heavyweight + 92 agility could allow them to have a significant agility advantage over your centers. YOu might try switching up a normal eq from strength to agility and seeing if it has any effect on the Rev Cakes.

OTOH, your Centers aren't allowing sacks or hurries so does it really matter?

I think you will find a lot of reverse pancakes occur after the pass is thrown. What happens is the DT disengages, and heavyweight fires. Heavyweight probably shouldn't be allowed to fire after a pass is thrown, but it really doesn't have any effect on the game, just stats.

^It could also be you falling over as he attempt to re-engage their backside but that's basically the same dealio.

Rev cakes rarely say much about anything tbh.. as shown, they often happen either away from the play or when the play is already over. It's just something to look at for dt/de's that don't go for sacks.

Could low stamina be the cause?

I find it's easier to build an OT if you're looking to avoid reverse pancakes
I had a pancake/reserve pancake ratio of like 55/11
Which isn't too horrible for a finesse blocker, I don't think
Especially considering I only got 11 pancakes and got reverse pancaked 75 times the year before

Hurries and sacks allowed are the 2 things I care about and neither of my lineman give sacks up with minimal hurries allowed so its a win for me.
