The long absence is over for a few leagues, as Mr. Toberich has put forth the picks for the week 7 games in a few leagues... and one of the lucky ones this week were the AA#4 league. When asked why he was only selecting some leagues this week, his response was... "You try to get all those spies..er scouts back behind friendly lines and not have them come back with bruises to their windpipes and writing hands. Some of those owners are just downright 'evil'."

When asked to elaborate on the "evil" owners, Mr. Toberich said something about a "Triad form of protection money" and that he was arranging plans to prevent that from happening again.

But his spies, er. scouts, got back from some of the team camps and came up with the numbers as follows:

Upset #1:
#12 Berlin Devine Right +3.24 over the #8 South Sydney Rabbitohs LOSS
Upset #2:
#4 Suva Hawks +4.52 over the #2 Future Llamas of America WIN

Games of the Week, and they're from the opposite ends of the spectrum...
#15 Wellington Assassins +.63 over the #16 Redcliff Razamanaz LOSS
#1 Hawthorn Headhunters +.94 over the #5 Sunshine Coast Condors Win

Other Top Games to watch:
#10 Lincoln Breeze +1.38 over the #11 German Wilddogs WIN
#6 Christchurch Parrots +2.57 over the #9 Saipan Storm WIN
#7 Tasmania Swarm +5.59 over the Rockhampton Raiders WIN
#5 newcastle Mountain Lions +6.77 over the #8 Wollongong Shaved Pussycats WIN

You'd need an army of James Bonds to make these games much closer:

#3 Sacred Haven Knights +11.50 over the #7 Nottingham Hoods WIN
#13 Sandersville Warchickens +13.03 over the #14 Solomon Island Packs WIN
#4 Guadalcanal Gunners +16.52 over the #10 Redcliffe Sharks WIN
#13 Brisbane Troyfins +16.61 over teh Lexington Armada WIN

These games probably couldn't get any uglier, even if you were playing against an army of "max smart"s

#1 Fiji Stingers +19.05 over the #9 Hamilton Falcons WIN
#2 Alice springs rock Wallabies +19.27 over the #14 Perth Pirates WIN
#6 Devonport Devils +19.41 over the #16 Noumea Mantas WIN
#3 Fiji Flying Foxes +25.90 over the #11 DHARMA Initiative WIN

Overall 14-2
Top Games: 2-2

So mostly the alpha games are close and the zeta games are blowouts.

yep.. but then again, the zeta guys have a lot of 1 vs. 9 , 2 vs. 10, etc, where as Alphas' got some more interesting matchups this week.

I was hoping this would give me more confidence going into tomorrow.

Instead.

You shattered it.

it's always the "top games" that throw me for one "major" loss that I didn't see coming at an eyeball glance (I "expect" to go 13-3 usually, but have had a lot of 12-4's when I've gotten them up.).. it's just a question of which one.

Right now it's the Parrots/Storm that has me 'curious'.. but we'll see.

I think that Zeta has 3 teams that are above the rest, three teams that are below the rest then 10 teams that are fighting for those other 5 playoff spots that are all pretty close.

The gunners and mountain lions are probably ahead of the rest of the middle teams, but there are some solid teams in there and no room for error by anyone and all of those games are going to be tough.

Don't underestimate anyone, one bad gameplan and you'll lose to the other monkeys trying to climb the ladder.

Those numbers for Games of the Week don't tell the story. If you look under matchups, Redcliff clearly has more talent, and ditto to Hawthorn also. Hawthorn has had a tough schedule, beating Suva and Sacred Haven thus far, and Redcliff has been gaining talent- I see the Razamanaz winning their first game, while Hawthorn to have a little easier time than what the stats say.

Oh I am not, don't get me wrong. Our OC and DC put in plenty of time studying the Condors. If you think I am undersetimating you guys, then you might be in for a little surprise, because I WANT you to think that. It's just that I think it should be more like a +5, not a +1. I think that is more accurate.

I would like to point out that I was right about Redcliff winning, and I am hoping I am right about my game as well.

EDIT- I'm not trying to brag, but I was right about my game also.
