HB Tactics Running Style: -100 Power .. will this help to Brk more tkl as .. sort of "Super Power" mode as in the opposite of "Super Elusive" mode??

Yes, vision helps break tackles as well as avoid them. There is no "super power" mode.

Does Jump the Snap work for LBs, CBs, and Safeties? Originally posted by VA description

This player is aggressive off the defensive line. Each level of Jump the Snap gives a +3 bonus to the vision check required to get off the line quickly...

If they are up close to the line, yes.

A question about 'slot machine', 1% bonus to vision while the WR run a route. Two questions:

- What is considered 'running a route' ? from snap until QB throw or maybe until catch attempt ? When the WR end the design route and just tries to get open, does the bonus apply ?

- For what a WR need vision when running a route ? Is it needed for fakes (despite other answer that fakes are not directly effected by vision) ? something else ?

Slot machine applies until the WR catches the ball (or somebody else does).

WR vision will help a bit with fakes, but they also need it to react to bad passes and change their angle to catch the ball. If they fail their vision checks, they'll just keep heading to where the ball was supposed to go, instead of where it really went due to the bad pass. Vision will also help them catch the ball when it gets there and not drop it.

Does Mr. First Down VA work for the end zone? (In football statkeeping, touchdowns count as first downs. Not sure if they do in GLB, let alone specifically as it pertains to this VA)

Yes, it should actually.

Why does a QB check down to a RB early with Dump Sometimes, without the RB calling "I'm Open!"? For example, HB is the 4th read and the QB throws it to him after looking only at the 1st read. The descriptions of the Dump Pass options seem to indicate that choosing Sometimes should make the QB always follow his progressions (assuming no "I'm Open!" call). Is that not how it's supposed to work?

The QB can check down to the HB on his own if he is near the line of sight of the other target he's looking at and is wide open (and is in the progressions). QBs can see wide open players in the vicinity of where they are looking.

Are the effects of Tenacious VA and Dive4Yds SA multiplied by each other, or merely added?

They are sorta added, but not directly. Tenacious actually gives a player a better chance to use dive, as it makes his overall "fight for yardage" roll better.

Ball Hawk for offense question :
When the QB calculate the spot of the field he throws too, does he takes into consideration whether the WR has ball hawk or not ?

No, he doesn't. Ball hawk for offense is meant more to catch up to bad passes than to outrun the defense.

Why do all defensive players target the QB before the pitch on a run play?

In fact regularly an OLB who has outside leverage will attack the QB and lose leverage on the pitch.

Have you considered having players read near/deep back as they do in football?
Have you considered having the pitch occur far more quickly such that defenders won't react incorrectly?

That's just how they are coded; they go after whoever has the ball.

We could maybe have the players be able to do a vision check as to the target of the play and track the HB instead? I haven't really considered or worked on that portion for a while.

Yes, it's based off of the number of teams. Should be similar to what we did last season.

Does the pass rush tactic in any way help or hurt how well the shed block SA works? i.e.- will shed block SA work better on evasive pass rush than on power pass rush?

Nope, it applies the same no matter what.

I assume other then jumping, that strength is needed to make hurdle fire, if not what else is needed?

Just higher levels of the SA, and a diving tackle attempt of course.

Why is the LDE inside the DT in the Goalline defense?

Why aren't all the defensive tackles squeezed into the middle with the DE's setting the edge, like a real defense?

I based it on some play diagrams I was looking at, so I assume the diagram had it that way. I suppose it's possible it got set up backwards from how it was meant to be. Nobody has ever really seemed to care much to mention it. Would be easy enough to change if we wanted to, but it might mess up existing DPC plays.

I assume that higher Run Block SA helps your run blocking score, therefore also significantly increasing the odds of a pancake (assuming a quality run block/pancake score amongst a relatively equal opponent), with the increased run blocking score essentially granting you more pancake "attempts".

Am I off-target here? Missing something? Mind providing some insight into the pancake part of the blocking interaction?

You're on the right track there. A better score will help you beat your opponent's score by more, thus increasing your chance at a pancake.

(sort of like Jumping Catch and 1 handed Catch does not need a point in it to fire.....)

How does the 5 yard qualifier on the Dump Pass SA work? Is it 5 yards from the LOS or 5 yards from where the QB is located?

From the y location of the QB. The x location doesn't matter; just the vertical.
