I doubt Bort will ever go for it, but a lot of us like to see how the teams stack up head to head in scrims. This often means teams with CEQ versus those without CEQ. What if when sending out friendly offers we had the option to disable CEQ for the game? If we can disable home field stuff, why not CEQ too? You wouldn't have to use the option, but it would be available nonetheless. This would be a big plus for any tourneys not using CEQ or just trying to see what teams can do straight up.

Just thought I'd test the waters here before going to the suggestion forum. LMK.

I like it, it seems like it would be a lot of work to do that but would be great to have that option as opposed to un-equipping and equipping it again afterwards.

I think you're misunderstanding the question. If you check (or uncheck) the CEQ box, then the SIM would either use (or not use) CEQ. Agents wouldn't have to equip or unequip anything. The SIM just wouldn't account for it in the game.

lol, actually, you're misunderstanding him.

he's agreeing with the suggestion though, fwiw. just thinks that it would be a lot of work for them to implement.

Why would BORT do this?

he does not want non-CE teams or tourneys. he wants money spent on GLB.

I don't think it would cut down on CE usage at all. It would just be a way to take it out of a friendly -- like you can already do with home field advantage. It would really only apply to PW, so it probably would be a no go anyway.

People would still buy CEQ.

And more scrimmages = more $$.

But surely it is helping non-CE teams.

they could have more tournaments and more (top) teams to play against.

I wouldn't mind going non-CE and playing all the GOLD teams regardless of which league I was in, and just concentrating on those games and the tourneys. It would be cheaper, yet I could still see how good I was based on the scrimmage games.

that is what I think BORT would vote against.
he doesn;t seem to want to help non-CE or non-BOOST teams, nor does he seem keen to help PEE WEE teams.

I agree with much of what you said. But on the other hand, a lot of no/no teams are currently giving up instead of trying to compete. It's very possible that entire teams would still exist if they could get some good sims. That's quite a few players plus the team ownership flex.

In the absence of elite coordination, I purchase CE to differentiate my team from one that does not and hopefully even the gap with an elite no/no squad. I'd pass on a no/no tourney and I'd be disappointed to see an existing tournament change the rules due to this being added because the person(s) running them are no/no sympathizers.

If no/no is your thing then I spose this suggestion is for you and so is the Silver vs. Copper Tourney.

There have been some really good no/no PW tourneys in the past.
