Well after looking over my predictions from the last round I think I did pretty damn good! Hit one on the head and missed one by 4pts! Not too bad in GLB where games are always distorted.

I am going to do a little more in depth preview. Sitback and relax...and enjoy

GAME 1. Baby Ragers 397.05 (16-0, #1 Seed) -vs- Esophagus Stuffers 397.46 (13-3, 4th Seed)

I think that most of you know by now that the Baby Ragers are legit. They ran the table in the Western Division and dont seem to be losing any momentum right now. The Stuffers are an unusual team. 1 non CPU player that gets all the yards and all the reps. Should be easy enough to stuff them then right?? Easier said than done. They have a rushing QB that puts Michael Vick to shame...DeShawn Booker. If you dont know the name yet, you will. This kid ran for over 15,000 yards and scored 264 TDs! Yes just this season! He is a stud. Some that is attributed to this being a casual league, but there is no doubt in my mind that he is just a stud. Bad news for the Stuffers is that the 3 teams that they lost to during the regular season are still in the playoffs (Ragers, Masons and Gunslingers) and each of those games they didnt just get beat they got beatdown!

The Ragers - They rushed 65% of the time this past season. Of course when you have the lead its easy to just pound the rock and take time off the clock. But they didnt just run the ball they amased 8000 yards on the ground. You had better be strong up front if you are going to be able to endure that kind of punishment. They run the ball about equal weak side and strong side, a little more inside than outside, but tend to rush to the strong side more when they do go outside. Their starting QB Joe Cannon is a stud when he drops back completing over 65% of his passes. They have a dual threat in the backfield...Combo Backs Turtle Beam and Darren McFadden, both of which had over 3000 yards and 60 TDs. Along their OL they have some studs...Center Curtis Mayfield led the team with 149 pancakes with OTs Peter Gabriel and Johnny "Guitar" Watson following close behind. On Defense this team is led in tackles by 2 outstanding CBs. Darren Randolph and Ford Mustang each had over 95 tackles this season. When you do drop back watch out for DEs Potroast Smasher and Robin Trower as they apply the pressure. Last but not least their Special teams is 1st rate...Returner Warren McVea had a total of 59 TDs returning kicks and Punts.

Grade: A

Esophagus Stuffers - Its not too difficult to write about one player. I think I hit most of the teams strong points above and wont waste your time repeating myself.

Grade: B-

Its plain and Simple...Stop this teams Rushing QB and you win. I am sure that they will try to "Surprise" teams with other stuff, but seriously you have all CPU players....

Coaches Prediction: Ragers win this 126-14

GAME 2. Free Masons 401.27 (14-2, 2nd Seed) -vs- San Antonio Gunslingers 339.6 (14-2, 3rd Seed)

These two teams met in week 15 where the Masons beat the Gunslingers 70-23 to take over the #2 seed. In that game the Masons were able to shutdown the Gunslingers ground and pound and their offense was able to put points on the board against a very solid defense.

Masons - The Free Masons Offense is a very balanced team. They pretty much are a 50% Pass and 50% Rush team. They rush to the Weakside 50% of the time and rush to the strong side 50% of the time. When they pass they are a high percentage team completing 62% of their passes. They have 4 HBs...Yes I said 4! They move them all over the place...HB, FB, WR.... All of them had over 1200 yards rushing, including their star HB Stradford who had 2200 on the ground and 1400+ in receiving. They started the season with only 1 WR on the team and have since filled the position. Their current WR corp is really coming into its own and starting to get into a rhythm. Defensively this team can apply some pressure up front...DE BUCKNAKED and Art Still are pure pass rushers...BUCKNAKED had 31 sacks and Still had 23.

Grade: N/A (My Team)

Gunslingers - The Gunslingers are a run first team, rushing over 60% of the time. They mix the inside/outside ratio pretty even, but tend to rush a little more Strongside than Weak. They have 3 HBs....2 Elusive (Riku and Later Sucka Ive got 6) and 1 powerback Rodney Coe. The elusive backs each had over 2000 yards rushing and both 600+ yards receiving. Defensively they dont have any real standouts along the line other than DE Gemma Atkinsen who collected 13 sacks. They do have tough corners, each starter had over 100 tackles.

Grade: B

Coaches Prediction: Cant do it....but I will say that the final score is going to be 80-17

He is a stud, but much like a real team in the NFL you cant just have one stud and expect him to win it all for you. Its fine during the regular season, but in the post season your playing the best teams in the league, if they cant figure out how to shutdown 1 player then you are playing in a really bad league.

GG to the Stuffers, GG to the Gunslingers and Hello to the Ragers!

Its time!

Says the man with more GM spots than any coach I have ever seen on GLB! lol

Thank you very much. We are a thrown together team that seems to be firing on all cylinders at the most important time. We are looking forward to another shot at the Ragers. You guys have set the mark in Western Conference and our last meeting was a pretty good game. Good luck to all the Baby Ragers...either way the Western Conference will be represented in the big game

GG to the Ragers! I knew we wouldn't get passed you guys. You guys smashed us in the reg season, I just didn't see that changing. We should have a full roster next season so Bookers big games are over. It was a fun season, totally unexpected. Good Luck to you guys the rest of the way.

I think you surprised everyone in this league. I have used a rushing QB with success in a normal league, but never tried it in a casual league. That was entertaining...except when we had to play you!

GL next season.

As far as the write ups...They werent great, but I had some extra time so I went with it! If someone else wants to do a write up for the next round that would be appreciated. Its hard to write about your own team and keep it interesting for others to read.

Anyone??

lol

I look at Masons as having planned for Day 38 and Day 40 from the beginning. After their boosts, the Masons are higher rated than the Ragers.
4 HB's at this level is nice. To stop the Masons means to shut down their HB's but as the season has progressed, it has become a monumental task. Only 47 players could potentially work against them as fatigue could set in. Morale is so big on these lower levels too. Mason offense has gathered momentum all season long and the big play capability is huge.
On defense, those DE's are just plain nasty and a major disruptive force. As good as the offense is, I am convinced the key to the success of the Masons has been their defense. It will certainly be the key in their title quest. Solid at all three levels, they are a formidable team.

The Ragers were thrown together on about Day 51 of last season. The team quickly came together and played well from Day 1. There were no aspirations to win a title, but things jelled to the point where a 16-0 regualr season was achieved. The team is a mix of boosters, non-boosters, and CPU's. The latter two hurt as we get deeper into the playoffs.
Like the Masons, Ragers run a balanced offense. It is a wide open attack that has ended up running a ton as the team has enjoyed huge leads most of the season. Defense has been solid all season .

The game is shaping up to be an exciting title match. I don't think it will play out that way...
Masons win 48-23

BOLD Prediction.....

We appreciate all the things you mentioned above, especially the part about beating the Ragers. I am a little more skeptical. The Ragers are the best team in this Conference and have been all season long. Yes we planned for a late push, will it be enough?? Our last game with the Ragers could have gone either way, but the Ragers were the better team that day. The only two losses we have had all season, including scrimmages...have come against 2 of the remaining teams in the hunt....We need to redeem ourselves!

Good luck to the Ragers....May the best team win

Good Game Ragers. We took a different approach in this game on defense. You guys are hard to contain...We played mostly zone and just tried to play the "Bend but dont Break" kind of defense against you....It worked pretty good. I have to say that your team has the most overall speed of anyone we have played so far. Very Impressive.

Anyways good luck next season and lets setup a scrimmage next season. We have one more loss to avenge this season....We will do our best to represent the West
