The TE doesn't catch the ball, but suddenly it flies 6 yards back towards the QB where it's intercepted. It wasn't deflected or knocked loose. So why in the world would the ball do that?
Even if it was deflected or knocked loose, 6 yards (18 feet!) is a long way for the ball to fly back toward the quarterback. Seriously...have somebody throw a football at you with a fair amount of zip behind it and try to swat the ball back towards the thrower w/o catching it and throwing it. I don't think you'll get 6 yards.
And this isn't a complaint...we won the game, this just isn't good physics.
