Two non boosted teams and 2 teams who don't appear to be changing that stance. In this case The Philosophers will roll in this one. In the first meeting when these two teams were even, TP won 21-0. GOR couldnt stop TP's offense allowing 326 yds while being limited to 182 yds themselves. GOR only ran the ball 18 times while TP ran it 43 times and killed the clock. Expect a lot of the same this game. GOR will need to establish a running game to have a chance.

24 …… 13-3-0 …… Providence Nose Pickers
Providence is the hottest team in Gold right now this after sneaking into the playoffs last season as the 8th seed. Almost stole the #1 seed had they beaten TP earlier in the season where they fell short by a field goal. Pain Nation throwing a game to Crib to get a better playoff spot finds themselves matched up vs PNP who have won 8 straight and only allowing 9 total points in the last 6 games. Last time these 2 met, PNP won 21-7 in a relatively close game. Pain Nation was held to 96 total yds while PNP racked up 324 yds of offense. Game was only 14-0 if you take out the 2 special teams returns by both teams. Providence defense is red hot and the offense is clicking.

20 …… 12-3-1 …… UT Pimps
13 …… 10-6-0 …… Crib Midgets
This should be a conference finals game but instead it's a round 1 thriller. UTs offense is hot. Crib Midgets just boosted should have a slight edge in builds. UT Wolloped Crib 45-0 but keep in mind they were outleveled by 3 levels. Crib couldnt get anything going on offense squeezing out just 74 yds of offense while UT racked up 425 yds, 317 through the air. The game will be much closer but UT has a step on the sim this season and escapes a close 1 TD win.

24 …… 12-4-0 …… Chicago 85' Bears
21 …… 10-5-1 …… DIRTY INC.
Both teams have vunerable defenses while being able to produce the offense. Chicago beat Dirty in week 3, 28-21 and I expect the same kind of scoring again in this match up. Dirty has the better passing team with over 4000 yds passing which was the leagues best this season just beating out UT Pimps by a handful of yds, so congrats to Dirty accomplishing the passing Title. The Bears have a better defense and has accomplished much more. Passing gets hit a bit as the season grows longer and the Bears will have the edge.

3 …… 8-8-0 …… Little Green Men
48 …… 15-1-0 …… Maine Grenadiers
Just 4 points shy of a perfect season, Maine basically gets a bye week for the playoffs. LGM are a no no team and has no shot against the high powered Maine Grenadiers. This game will be over by the 3rd quarter, LGM sneaks into the playoffs with Kill Devil bowing out to Montpellier. Maine snuck by Little Green Men in week 2, 14-7. That should be motivation enough for Maine to buckle down on some scouting. That week 2 match up was an exciting game with LGM scoring with just 18 seconds left in the game to tie the game at 7 all. Then in overtime, Maine takes the kickoff the distance for the win in OT. LGM keeps it close for a couple of quarters then levels will catch them late in the game.

14 …… 11-4-1 …… Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks is a thorn in the wheel of the Bus. SBWL are 1-2 vs Twin Peaks all time and 0-2 the last 2 seasons. It was 3 seasons ago when SB beat Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks beat SB earlier in the season 28-7. SB couldnt stop Twins offense allowing 394 yds. SB did gain 301 yds on offense but only mustered 7 points. Short Bus holds the levels and custom EQ advantage as Twins are a no no team. Both teams were even last time they met mid season. SB levels get a 4th quarter field goal for the win.

7 …… 9-7-0 …… Wood Village Whistle Pigs
First time these two met, not that long ago, FGC laughed off a 87-0 slaughterfest. WVWP had 24 total yds of offense while FGC racked up over 600 yds. FGC scored 42 in the 4th quarter and same could be said for this match up. WVWP just lost to a boosted team SB and got beat 45-0. Score won't be as high since its the playoffs but it will still be an easy win for FGC who pull well ahead late with the level advantages.

17 …… 11-4-1 …… SAS Chicken Stranglers
Last time these 2 met, Shy town was rocked hard by SAS 70-7. That game the defense didnt show up at all. They were 2-3 at the time and since have went on to improve their record 9-2. The Chicken Stranglers are boosting and this game should come down to the wire. Picking the Stranglers just because of the beating they gave Shy Town back pre boosting. Shy Town improves but Stranglers have their number.

Yeah this is a tough matchup. With Crib holding off boosting until late in the season there is no real game tape to watch with their lvl 13 dots.

Outside of the Shy Town game, you pretty much nailed this. I think the 2nd round matchups all around are pretty even games and will be some of the closest and most exciting games in gold history.
