The overall sentiment to the ever changing sim seems to be negative.

Is it really all that bad for Pee Wee? Yes teams go in with "plans" in the offseason for next seasons peewee team. And sometimes those plans get nerfed into oblivion. See the Pimps last season as we designed the team around a passing sim that got borted all over the place (we only carried 1 FB and way too many WR's for a running sim ) But in all reality it pretty much only cost us one season.

It is not like building up a pro teams whose design gets nerfed after 5 or 6 seasons then comes back to life 5 or 6 seasons later. Nothing worse than building a dot for years spending hundreds of dollars only to seem them get dropped into irrelevance when they reach their peak much less a whole team. At least in Pee Wee there is always next season to adjust.

If the sim were stable wouldn't the game get stale for those people that have "mastered" it. And wouldn't it create a system were the teams that perfected it would pretty much win everything season after season. At least in theory it would seem that a changing sim opens up the competition in that any team has a shot at winning and/or losing regardless of past performance. Ex BNI wins Gold one season and doesn't make the playoffs the next (I am not familiar with their situation as it could be more to do with other things than really sim related just using that as an example).

Yes we have teams that are very successful year in and year out. I suspect it is because they have systems that are in place that are very adaptable to sim changes. And are very good at adapting to those changes.

Also it would seem that a changing sim would keep the game "fresh" each season as there is always something new to figure out. Is that a good thing for Pee Wee since we are not so much tied to the long term success of players

I generally swing back and forth on this. Probably depends on how bad my plans got nerfed in a particular season.

I just don't care for sim changes during the regular season. I was cringing there for a while every time I saw the change log alert activated.

I would like to have a balanced sim where teams are unique in their offenses and you are forced to make defensive adjustments. The current sim is probably the closest I have seen to that without offense being over powered. I just would like to see inside rushing a hair stronger. It is somewhat irrelevant to me this season so I don't have to put much effort into stopping it.

Last season I did not even game plan for 80% of my games in gold, everyone seemed to be doing the same thing game after game.

Yeah I would agree with that. They can make them in the preseason and maybe week 1 or week 2. After that should be hands off. To much work to adjust in week 12.

For the sake of argument, I'll clarify. I don't normally like to spill my guts on team issues, but it is warranted for this thread so that we can focus on the sim issues.

BNI's situation this season has only to do with me taking over as HC this season and shouldn't be a reflection on the sim, SHINK, RK, our agents, or anybody else involved with BNI.

Pretty much everything bad that you've seen from BNI this season was me getting the rust off and getting acclimated to everything I missed during the 2-3 seasons I wasn't paying attention to pee wee. I'm not making excuses, either...I lost those games fair and square.

Anything good we did this season was because of RK's mentoring on everything I've missed in PW the last few seasons (and maybe a few things I never knew to start with, lol) and the early boosting to avoid potential demotion. If we do something decent next season, then maybe I'll take a little credit for it

and now that I turned this (temporarily I hope) into a BNI thread...I should mention a big thanks to SHINK for trusting me with his team and RK for all the support and mentoring.

I'd like it better if they announced the changes beforehand so you could plan a little better before you started creating players. But that's just my opinion for what it's worth.................
Anyone else wish that offensively we could have a drop down menu like in the DPC to customize blocking assignments?
Like on a sweep, assign the FB to go get the LOLB or SS or ROLB or FS, etc..........dunno how many times I've seen my blockers, linemen and backs alike, pull out to lead block, the play is looking good and they......STOP! And a defender right in front of them comes in and makes the tackle.
I'd like to see something where we could customize blocking assignments for pulling guards or tackles, and tell the FB or HB who to block rather than see the confusion I see almost every game.
Anyone else ever thought of it, or considered making a suggestion thread?

I don't mind bug and exploit fixes mid season, but changes that affect how teams are built should be announced on Day 40 at the latest so PW has an educated guess on how to build for the coming season.

As much as I rant about getting blown out by UT every season, or getting fucked over by 4 PR TDs or whatever, I have to agree with LE, it is a lot of fun to scout every game and see what is working based on the team and the sim.
