Hello,
I'm a new player about to create my first defensive player, and was looking for advice. My main concerns are what position is needed the most and which is most interesting to create.
Any help?

DT!!!!! I find it very fun to build, and there is a ridiculous shortage of them. You will find a human team easy if you have a good build.

Depends on what you like. For sacks + run stopping I would say DE or LB. For INT I would say CB or LB/FS. For huge hard hits that knock people out in real life SS or FS/CB.

In real life I have been DE, CB, WR, MLB, and FS. Im 5"8 200lbs. My favorite position to play would have to be MLB, if I had to describe what I did I would say I would watch the run mostly, try to keep an eye on the QB and see if hes passing, if he commits to pass I would go for the INT, if we're not blitzing of course, then I would crush the QB.

In this game its really a tough decision between all those. I say get like 40 dollars together and buy flex points and make 2-6 players with custom equip and you should have fun.

Im so glad you played most of the defensive positions in real life. I love how that directly translates into what 'dot' is the most fun to watch. Oh, and I love your description of how to play MLB. "Watch the run, but if they pass I WILL intercept it, that is, of course, unless I am blitzing, in which case the QB will be crushed because I have a 100% success rate and he will most likely fumble and I will return it... twice." You sir, are a god. I can already see you e-peen growing from that post.

Oh, and when you mentioned what players are good at what, why did you say SS/FS/CB are good for huge hits? Where is LB, especially when you played MLB IRL. You must have been a terrible tackler/ never watched a football game to completely disregard your studly position.

SS is my favorite. You have to be good at so much, so coming up with a great build is the most fun IMO.

SS period. You get to work on many syats. fast as a WR, tackle like a LB, agile as a DL, strong as an OX, see like you have glasses thicker than a whale, and everything else has to be in mid. 20's +.

I like FS fun to build and if they're good it's cool to watch them on plays

Thanks for the tips, guys! I ended up creating a DT, as all other def positions are low or very low demand.

Hoping to create a run stopping monster:

retire him and start over put all of your starting points into strength or you're just going to be put on your ass by the oline all day
