Went with the top 20 this time for lulz.
Top 20:
1. Red River Rampage, League 1 (389.09): At the top of the tier in average SP among teams that haven’t boosted, they have one loss that at this point can only be described as a fluke. Two resounding wins over MJM, one of those a tournament championship victory, cements their position at #1.
2. Minnesota Junk Mailers, League 1 (388.35): With a total of two losses, both to Red River, the Junk Mailers position at #2 isn’t debatable. Seemingly the only thing that separates them from Red River is their special teams play.
3. Dallas Badgers, League 1 (384.31): With three losses on the season, all to Red River and MJM, the ever dangerous Badgers currently sit 3rd, but they have the ability to beat either of the above teams any time they play.
4. Tehran Twelvers, League 1 (374.23): With two losses to the Junk Mailers, but a win over Red River, the Twelvers sit in 4th. The upcoming game against Dallas will decide who is #3 in the tier in what will resemble a football game from 1900.
5. New England Cowboys, League 1 (379.97): undefeated on the weak side of League 1, the only loss the Cowboys have suffered was at the hands of MJM. Gonna have to beat some of the higher ranked teams to move up higher.
6. Devil’s Rejects, League 3 (380.80): The Rejects haven’t lost a game all season to anybody, but the only win they have worth mentioning is against Phil’s Mickelsons, and it was an unranked scrim.
7. Vancouver Vipers, League 4 (383.33): The Vipers are rolling through the weak league 4, and should win that championship virtually unopposed. They have losses to Baltimore Crimewave and MJM, but between the way they played those teams, and their average SP of 383.33, they’re solidly in the top 10 until someone beats them. The upcoming Red River game could drop them down a bit if it is lopsided.
8. River City Ransom, League 2 (364.69) The Ransom have only lost two games all season, to MJM and Dallas. They’ve played better than their average SP would indicate. It’ll be interesting to see if they sustain that level of play.
9. Baltimore Crimewave, League 1 (399.27): The highest average SP in the tier, the Crimewave have admittedly underachieved. A lot of that has had to do with the brutal competition in the western conference of league 1. They’re record doesn’t indicate it, but they’re definitely a top 10 team.
10. Iron River Steelers, League 2 (375.33) Undefeated in league 2, and just having knocked of the undefeated JYD this morning, the Steelers move into the top ten after Mickelsons lost a game they shouldn’t have.
11. Jetnation Titans, League 1 (381.57) The Titans have fallen victim to being in the western conference. They have three conference losses to MJM, Dallas, and Baltimore, and a tourney loss to Red River. They have Tehran and Red River still on their conference schedule, so the top 10 will likely remain just out of reach.
12. Burlington Blue Devils, League 2 (381.11) The Blue Devils have a regular season loss only to 8th ranked River City, but have scrim losses to DJL’s Ghosts and the Junk Mailers.
13. Fresno Dirty Sanchez, League 1 (392.82) Only a lack of team depth keeps Fresno this low. That and a lack of quality opponents. They haven’t beaten anyone to speak of in the Eastern Conference, but their average SP, undefeated record, and interesting preseason wins show that they have the potential if they add depth.
14. Next Level Process, League 3 (380.09) The only real win they have is over Davy Jones Locker’s Ghosts, and the only loss they have is to Jetnation. The Devil’s Rejects game in week 16 will determine whether they belong or not.
15. Phil’s Mickelsons, League 1 (373.98) Until this morning they had only lost games to top teams. Today they lost to Chicago Slashers and fell to 15th.
16. Darwin Desert Dingos, League 1 (381.33) Victims of a powerful conference, the Dingos should be better than their record shows, and should be better than the teams below them on this list.
17. Holt What I Don’t Even, League 3 (369.19) Losses only to Devil’s Rejects and Next Level Process, and a reasonably strong roster see them crack the top 20.
18. Davy Jones Locker Pirate Ghosts, League 3 (369.50) This team has some important wins, and some tough losses, so it is really hard to tell whether they belong higher or lower.
19. Junk Yard Dogs, League 2 (381.32) The Dogs lost their first conference game to Iron River this morning. Scrimmage losses to Burlington, DJL’s Ghosts, and MJM hurt their ranking.
20. Baguio City White Lady (365.10) They seemingly have the strongest roster remaining of the teams not on this list. The White Lady has conference losses to Red River, Dallas, Tehran, Fresno, and Jetnation, and still has MJM and Baltimore on the schedule. Their grip on the top 20 is very tenuous, but they should be able to beat anyone not listed here I think.
