I'm at that critical time in a low level build. How high do I take the initial Speed rating? 48 cap? 60 cap? 69 cap? I have 30 points to spend and I'm training agility like crazy... How high should I take each stat initially before starting on the next?

spend all of your SP's on speed right now, take speed to 77 if it is your first stat.

Thanks Mile High. Just short of 77 at level 8.

I would take it to 81 without EQ.

Depends what you do with agility (based on the current sim)... Speed and agility are related, so you can use both together to get where you want, or you can blow one out at the expense of another to get where you want.

81 (82 with extra training point), in my opinion, is ideal if you are willing to not go as high with agility (high 60s - low 70s) and put all your EQ in speed. If you choose to go relatively higher with agility (mid-high 70s or make it your lead attribute), then obviously you don't need to go as high with speed and you can use equipment on both speed and/or agility. This strategy is ideal if you are relying on shopping tokens to acquire AEQ as +3 agility pieces show up at a more frequent rate than +3 speed pieces.

The 2nd strategy is more rare... so it may scare off DC's as they likely have not come across very many LBs with agility as high as speed, or agility higher than speed. But back when I was a DC (several centuries ago)... I coached a couple LBs with higher agility than speed and they were absolutely dominant.... I don't know if this still applies in the current sim.... but I would guess it still does since those builds are so rare (on LBs) that there hasn't been any need to nerf them....

Thank you all! I'll keep working toward that 77/81 cap without EQ. Looks like I've got a couple of seasons to go before I can round out other stats.

Fixed. Better to take it that high at least for coverage LBs considering the speed of present and future TEs and HBs.

Wouldn't it depend on if you have a run stopping LB vs a coverage LB? Speed doesn't seem that important when stopping the run when you don't have that far to go stuffing the middle. Getting around blockers seems to be helped tremendously with high agility and strength.

Did you multi train a couple levels after you got speed to 91?
Because your post is a little deceiving. If you 68 cap a .5 major and roll it over to 69 after softcapping at lvl 1 your end build will take you to 87... so did you train speed after you capped it at 68, or did you take Speed to 73?

You can take it to 81 and then multi train it from 81-90.

He's FOS!!! But, has a solid build LB'er who is actually lv 73, not lv 74, under his 'adjusted' stats, but still seems to have done well based upon his over 1000 total SP. Truth never hurts, and don't understand the reason why people wants to over sensionalize a build.
