Here are my predictions for playoffs seeds, I'll come back later to see if I was right:

Alpha
1. Pennsylvania Silver Knights (6-0) - Definitely the number 1 team in Alpha
2. Algeria Addiction (5-1) - With their only loss to PSK in a close one, I think they're the only team with a real chance at upsetting PSK.
3. Sumatra Swarm (5-1) - Even though they lost to the Rickrollers, I believe they'll bounce back in the second half of the season to end at #3 seed.
4. Bay Area Riders (4-2) - Bit of a disappointment towards the end of last year, but this year they've made a total rebound and will likely win out the rest of the season.
5. Vestibule Rickrollers (4-2) - Lost to the Radiation, but their win over Sumatra gives them an edge in nabbing the #5 seed.
6. Hiroshima Radiation (6-0) - Even though they're 6-0, their first 6 games consisted mainly of middle of the road teams. I don't think they'll have a problem capturing the #6 seed, and they've got a good shot at #5.
7. Hanoi Knights (2-4) - Have had an extremely rough beginning of the season, playing the toughest teams in the conference. However, their lost to Salford pushes them down quite a bit.
8. Salford Storm (2-4) - This is a team with another rough start. They have the levels, but they don't have the chemistry, and they also took a hard loss to Indianapolis. I think they'll be fighting on the bubble come the end of the season.

Missing the Bubble:
Hagåtña Dogs - This team made an astounding recovery from last season and they're in the middle of the pack now. I don't think they have the levels to beat out Salford or Hanoi though.
Indianapolis Fighters - With a win against Salford and a loss against Hagåtña, it's hard to tell how good this team is. I don't think they're making it to the playoffs though.

Zeta
1. San Fran Gold Rush (6-0) - With almost their entire starting lineup over level 20 and perfect chemistry, this is the team to beat in Zeta.
2. Bali Waves (6-0) - Not to far behind San Fran, Bali will be putting up big numbers again this season. The games vs. San Fran and Sault Ste Marie will decide where this team ends up.
3. Sault Ste Marie Metalheads (6-0) - Rounding out the undefeated teams in Zeta, I think that they're just behind Bali on this one (I like Bali's offense better). If they upset Bali this week, things could change.
4. Singapore Flames (4-2) - Almost advanced last year, but this year they're lacking a bit on defense. I don't think they have what it takes to win the championship, but they will get to the playoffs.
5. Bangkok Blue Demons (4-2) - This team is a great new contender and I like their team all around. Slightly lower chemistry is the only thing holding them back. If they beat the Flames they could nab #4, but I think they'll end on a solid #5 seed.
6. Hong Kong Hustlers (3-3) - A truly horrendous start of a season. This is a team with levels and alright chemistry, but they just kept losing. They talk a lot of crap, and I still think they've got a chance to redeem themselves. They'll have to pull some upsets though.
7. The Elephant Riders (4-2) - A team that pulled themselves out of the hole midway through last season, they're shaping up to be a solid playoff contender. They've already beat the Hustlers, but they'll have to stay consistent if they want to move up in the seeding.
8. Xi'an Xplosivo (3-3) - Rounding out Zeta I have Xi'an, the once gutted team now playoff contender. I think they're going to have a really tough bubble though.

Missing the Bubble:
Davao Destructobots - Already pulled one upset, but it was cancelled out with a loss to Thailand. They've got a bit of catching up if they want to beat the bubble.
Thailand Cheap Toys - Don't count this once broken team out yet. If they stay consistent and beat who they need to beat, and possibly pull an upset, they could sneak up on that 8th seed.

We only have one game where we could be considered underdogs and thats SF. The Flames are always a concern due to some great gameplanning. Metalheads are one of my fav teams in Zeta just cuz they have a high powered big play offense. Bali are not any type of threat whatsoever. Nobody else of any concern. We got our shit straightened out and don't really see how we could lose the rest of the way except for tp a pretty impressive looking SF this year, and the interconference throwdown with PSK.

Sweet rankings Mel, after our three losses it'll be hard to get back to the top since we only get to give each team 1 loss, but I think a pretender or two will start to surface once the good teams start playing eachother.

He said KEPT losing. Only we know why that was, can't wait to prove who we really are the next several games.

The Rickrollers game against the Riders this week is huge. That'll likely determine who gets a home game in the playoffs, as I think both teams have a good chance to be one loss teams after this matchup. Sumatra's also got the majority of the tough part of their schedule left on tap. Since the Rickrollers are getting the hard part of our schedule out of the way early this year, I think we might end up in decent position to end up as the #3 seed if we can snag a few breaks.

Yeah I have to agree with you that Rush are the team to beat.
We are still smarting from that ass-whooping they handed us a few weeks ago. Trust me that 0-19 scoreline was kind to us.

Flames are putting together a "think tank" that will ensure come playoff time we will be ready.
Last season's zeta playoffs showed that no team can rest easy as upsets will happen.

Nice write up sideshow. We are not looking past anybody in our conference as there are truely some great teams there.

I think you are underestimating the Krungtep Garaudas.

Sure this is our first year and we are building. But we have for the most part won games that are winnable, not been totally blow away on the other games. (We kept the Sumatra Swarm to a 2 TD game)

I count roughly 5 more winnable games left out of 10. That would give us 8-8 final tally. Is that good enough for a play-off spot...or just won't make it??

You're going to need around 10 wins to get a playoff spot.

Nice write up Mel. I wouldn't discount the Radiation though. They have some good players and they seem to always be under the radar. I don't hear a lot from them, but I think they have the ability to beat any team in Alpha.

Rickrollers are much improved from last year and I don't think you are giving your team enough credit.

I do agree that PSK and AA will be #1 and #2, the rest of the playoff spots will be an exciting finish.

Thanks for the props reymets. I think most of us are cautiously optimistic. We started strong out of the gate last year at 4 - 0 and then fizzled, eventually missing the playoffs. We don't plan on that happening again this year. We should easily make the playoffs and then make as much noise as possible in the post season.

Just noticed we have the Swarm coming up next game. Let's hope we can stifle your bid to pay us back for last years defeat.

BTW, gotta love Mel slotting his team in front of us, especially after we beat them by 10 in the season opener. Smells of a little homerism.
