If you have equip bonuses in spd and stamina, move them to strength. At next level-up get STR up to a natural 48. If any pts are left over, do the same with agility.

Equip bonuses should be split between str and agility.

Don't listen to him. Never split your bonuses. Pick one area and specialize in that area. If you want to be agile, raise Shed Block as much as possible. If you want to be speedy, raise your first step and maybe change direction as much as possible. If you want to be strength based get your strong base ability up.

To the original poster:

I would listen to the guy that actually has a DE (t-money, damn good stats too)..

Once you get your str and agility up to the soft cap you should start to see some good results with shed block already at 5

Remember there are two different types of DEs and they require different strengths. t-money DOES have a successful LDE, and his advice would probably point you in that direction. If on the other hand you want to be a successful RDE, I have less faith in his advice.

At any rate, decide what position you want to play first, and then ask those who have been successful at that particular position.

I don't think that I have the end-all DE build. However, its important to note that the RDE that starts across from Sticky Wang (who is also successful) has a similar build and is using the same concepts as Sticky Wang.

To the idiot that advised spending mad pts on a DE build prior to establishing solid base stats, perhaps should build a DE and see if your concept is successful before giving other people advice.

I'm not saying prior to having solid base stats. What I am saying is you don't have to raise all of your attributes before anything else. I don't have to make a DE to know that most (not all by any means, and that wasn't saying your build doesn't work) of the most successful players are very good at one thing, and to be very good at one thing, you have to sacrifice other things.

We would all like our guys to be able to run over AND around any offensive linemen, but I have yet to see anyone who can do both consistantly and successfully. RB's the same, and O-Linemen too, in fact everyone playing wants their guy to be able to do everything. But the fact is you have a better chance of being successful by doing one or the other, and the best way to do that is to use all of your equipment to boost 1 attribute, and then maximize that attribute by stacking one or possibly two assciated SA's.

Look at Tea Baggins (only using him as an example because everyone knows him.) If you go to the RB forum they will tell people to raise your strength and speed and agility and carrying, blah blah. I doubt Tea has 50 strength or has his abilities spread around much...

Find your niche. Get better at your niche. Stay in your niche. My keys to success.
