WEEK 4 RANKINGS
LION
1 Canton (3-0) - Still dominating. Combined record of next 3 opponents: 1-8. Nuff said.
2 CWE (3-0) - Need to see some meaningful games here and that could be a few weeks away.
3 Philly Franklins (2-1) - Shutout win over GP but the run game did not blow my mind away with 3 out of 4 of their backs averaging 2.3 ypc or less.
4 Lincoln (3-0) - Lincoln has a nice streak going but let's see how they do next week versus Zambezi.
5 Somalia Pirates (3-0) - Been a fairly easy season for the Pirates so far. That trend should continue another week.
6 San Diego (3-0) - Still hard to gauge this team but they've got a few good games coming up.
7 Zambezi Silverbacks (2-1) - Two wins over easy teams. Can they come out on top when they face Lincoln next week?
8 Uganda Silverbacks (0-3) - The nightmare stretch is over. That had to be one of the toughest opening schedules in the league. Now Uganda has to bounce back quickly before the season is lost. Got to drop them for now but they'll have time to move back up.
9 Guyana Punch (1-2) - They've dropped 2 games, both shutouts, but have shown the ability to keep the score low against some good teams. Plenty to build on here.
10 Hall of Heroes (1-2) - Could be a long 3 weeks. At least the second half of the season should go easier.
11 Oklahoma Outlaws (1-2) - Fought til the end to get their first W. After falling behind 0-14 in the first 11 minutes of the game, the Outlaws fought back and put up the next 13 points of the game. A FG from Nile made it 13-17 heading into the half. After a scoreless 3rd the Outlaws closed the gap to 16-17. Nile hit a FG though to make it 16-20 but with 7 minutes left Oklahoma scored the game winning TD.
12 Texas Longhorns (0-3) - Another loss with another on the way.
13 Komodo Dragon (0-3) - Win #1 coming up.
14 Transylvania (0-3) - Still more losses coming the next 2 weeks.
15 Nile River Assassins (0-3) - Close to pulling out their first win but not good enough.
16 Port Arthur (0-3) - This CPU rostered team should not even be ranked.
ELEPHANT
1 BSSI (3-0) - Not blowing teams out by GLB standards but no one's been in the game yet against them.
2 Sons (3-0) - Couple of turnovers made this closer than I'm sure anyone expected. It took 20 unanswered points in the second half to pull this one out.
3 Warriors (3-0) - Last season they beat TAP and failed to live up to the hype after I moved them up. Will they go the same route again this season? 2 Good wins to their name and now they get SoA and BSSI back to back. Could get interesting quick.
4 TAP (2-1) - Back and forth contest against the Warriors. TAP had a few turnovers, most notably a pick 6 that put the game out of reach with 2 1/2 minutes remaining.
5 ABD (2-1) - Great defensive battle and ABD fought back in the second half to come away with a nice win.
6 ICB (2-1) - Hard fought game from both teams as the defenses were out in full force. After taking a 6-0 halftime lead, ICB was shutout in the second half and fell 6-10.
7 A7 (3-0) - In response to Hatemonster, yes you are being taken seriously now.
8 RMT (3-0) - Last season RMT made the playoffs on the backs of a soft first half schedule. Things seem to be going the same way this season but their second half stretch is pretty rough.
9 Nairobi (2-1) - Still not sure what this team is all about this season. We'll see how good they are in the next few weeks though.
10 Guyana (0-3) - I've no doubt this team is better than their record shows. I have jinxed them (although Bort is most likely to blame!!!). I will now shut my trap. Sorry BB.
11 ECS (1-2) - Very good win over Ghana might put this team on a little winning streak over the next few weeks.
12 Ghana (1-2) - That 1 point shocker win over Zambezi seems so long ago now.
13 Norfolk (1-2) - Same story as Ghana right now.
14 London (0-3) - Seem to like giving up 30 something points week in and out. Now if they would only score 40 points.
15 49ers (0-3) - Hell of an effort and they almost came up with a huge upset.
16 Boston (0-3) - Now I'm thinking this team might not be in a game until around week 10-11.
