I have never faced an upper echelon rushing QB, and up to this point, my qb run defenses have held up, but today, I got torched for 160.

Does anybody have any suggestions, replays, or an answer to the rushing QB at the pro level?

Blitzing the LO into the O-line as the QB runs outside to the right is probably the wrong call. Smarter people than me will (& should) chime in, but I'd favor containing the outside and hedging the inside with a mild blitz.

Edit: Here's what another team did against the same play -- http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1510459&pbp_id=724991 I'm not necessarily recommending that approach, as I think they weren't any better at containing him.

My first thought was a throw the ROLB/LOLB into flat zones.

Currently there progressions are on the HB/FB, while the MLB handles the TE, just in case it's a pass play.

Is it better to run a Cover 1 or Cover 2?
