I run my own OAI, but then again...I typically only basic tactic teams until the playoffs anyways.

doesn't necessarily mean squat.
you could have a million points in confidence and stamina,
thus the highest 'value' in the history of GLB, and it wouldn't make for a good player.
i'm not saying this is the case in this specific instance. just pointing out why
lolbars and value are flawed or incomplete indicators. but everyone knows that already...

Oh gosh... the higher values are from having the primaries higher than others. The easiest way to gain value is getting a ton of "skill points" from ALGs... not training the lower secondary attributes more than others.

And, ITS, I was referring to Hanz not wanting to run the D in a scrimmage...

LOL I took a stab at defense a couple of seasons ago and decided it was way to much work!!

I get some willing volunteer to do the slave labour.

It isn't really that much work honestly... plus, it's what makes this game fun for me!

I got a couple guys on my team like that...they love defense.

So I let them do the defense and I handle the offense. Has worked pretty good so far

yeah, and for example one could get mad tacking abilities for all their hard hitting LBs and have no LB speed
and get killed whenever they need to cover anyone, or have incredible cover DBs who can't tackle a fly.
i've seen a few teams with great lol bars but huge weaknesses that are impossible not to exploit.
especially when owners build up all of their dots in the same way, thus the whole team has the same weakness.
that's when an entire team looks great on paper but suffers.

my thoughts exactly. i can tell that isn't the case on your team-
just pointing out that it can be and is the case on some.

player value does have some meaning - it will be tough for a team near the bottom of the league to win, but anyone in the top 1/3 to 1/2 has a chance to win it all

for example, on our team our punter is a full season behind the rest of the team, and kickers and punters typically have pretty high SP value compared to other players their age

having the right mix of players with good builds and a good game plan is what will win it all

When you cash in your BT's for SP's, you will have a higher value.

When you train on intense, you wil have a higher value, but once again will be somewhat short on BT's.

Both of these will help you value, but they won't help you get 3 pieces of AEQ and possibly 4.

Those do not equate to player value, so.........the glass is half full or empty?

when you train on intense?

As brash as the Cobra Kai knuckleheads come off, they are right about the effective levels and you other guys are making a valid point but saying it all wrong.

Effective levels are the best indicator of talent available on the team. End of story.

What has been said repeatedly is "that "effective levels" and lol bars don't mean ANYTHING. The builds could still be flawed"...

just look at the overwhelming number of speed LB there are out there with little to no strength to stop a powerback and you can see that there is some validity to this point...ALL THE POINTS ARE IN SPEED! NO STRENGTH!

To make your point more accurately, "effective levels and "lol" bars don't mean EVERYTHING...but they are very good indicators of how good a team is. A team effective level that is 25 points higher could mean as much as a 2 or 3 TD advantage.

Combine this with the fact that to get this advantage requires skill and strategy (I don't think you'll see many poorly run teams at the top of that list) and those differences tend to magnify.

I don't go in for all the trash-talk bashing type stuff, but they do appear to be set up to do very, very well. They could be horrible gameplanners...but the fact that they are paying attention and working these numbers (and talking smack) indicates otherwise.

Cobra Kai dudes, you need to talk to some of the "Richmond Rebel Yell" scum. They took an advantage as big as the one you have and talked big stuff in their league forum a few seasons ago. They made horrible, crap talking remarks to everyone who would post. They covered all the bases from "we just want to liven things up" all the way to out and out racist/white supremacist stuff - followed by, we were only joking, of course". The trash talk (and higher levels) served them well...right up until the championship game loss...where they were met with 100 posts laughing at them for screwing up a championship they should've won (the sim can be funny like that). To my knowledge, they are still chasing that 1st championship...and people still point and laugh. Humble in victory...gracious in defeat is not a bad way to go.
