The stats should be retroactive so previous seasons are included in the stats

I like the concept, but think it needs to be fleshed out quite a bit more.

Edit: It would make sense to introduce something like this along with the new DPC and when AI builders actually own their AIs within their profile, but I doubt the idea could be perfected by then..... but who knows.

So, who gets the stats?

What if there are assistant OCs/DCs identified on the team roster? Do they get credited with the record?

What if the OC/DC identified on the team roster has gone inactive, and the (say) co-owner is doing the work instead?

Like Landry's said there is no way. He has done everything for us for many seasons. Would have to expand assigning coordinating positions and make it all retro. In other words impossible.

I think it sucks It will just take up more space on your page and not really mean anything. If your coaching for a team full of poor players or are in a league thay just can't compete in you will have a poor record and no one will want you to coach for them.

For every winner there has to be a loser. Why hang that label on coaches that are willing to take the time to create a game plan and up date it every game. Experienced coaches are hard enough to fined without hanging percentages and labels on them

Well if someone goes inactive then they should have a system in place where he does not get the credit for the win or loss. And if your a assistant coach they should have a column for that and they will get the wins or losses too. And in that case when looking for a new coach you should be aware that if they have a lot of wins or losses in the assistant coach column then that may not be there fault. So yes there might still be a few problems that i didnt address which is why i would like for people to expand on the idea, but if this does get implemented people would need to use some common sense in looking for a new coach.

When looking for a coach the owner should be getting to know the person. So in the message's im sure the person looking for the coaching spot can explain to the owner why he has such a poor record. He can explain that he was coaching a rebuild team or what not, which would explain the reason for the poor record. I'm sure a lot of people will still give others chances even if they have a poor W-L record, if the coach gets a chance to explain himself.

how about this?

if a player wanted to give out his co-ordinator record, then all he would need to do is post the team page links to the team owner that he wants to join ...and if he has a coaching record on teams that he is not proud of, then he doesn't need to send that team link

Yea that could work but some agents dont keep in touch with their old teams. Maybe if they could have, what you said on the teams page but also have some of the links on the coaches profile to.

I wish there was something like this that doesn't discourage a DC, OC to not take a job where a team is in shambles but wants to get in and start helping. And not encourage "coaches" who only take cake jobs where he's handed a roster full of well built dots in a league where it's not so much...
