An era has ended. The HoF WL career of FS Glossy Eyes has come to a close: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=932349

After 6 seasons in WL, this S5 dot leaves as the only FS to have won a WL MVP trophy when in S16 as a member of Bonn he put up redonculous numbers including 92 tackles, 15 INTs, 571 INT return yards, 9 TDs off INTs, and 36 PDs.

His combo at that time of high natural vision, Football Genius VA, Zone Specialist VA, high Superior Vision, high catching and x-factor were the perfect storm that season. Some say he was one of the primary glitches in the Matrix that led to the nerfing of all FSs. Unfortunately, having been groomed to peak during that masterful season, he was ill equipped for the surprise announcement of extended plateau as he intentionally hadn't planned for the archetype, SA, VA, etc. changes that followed as he assumed he'd be retired at that point. However, he still managed to remain an elite contributor throughout extended plateau, ending his final season at #2 in the conference All FS D rankings.

He definitely had x-factor, considering he was his noob owner's first and only dot build. And he never slummed for stats, always choosing to play at the highest level possible at the earliest possible opportunity. At time of posting, he sits at #93 on the All-Time All FS D rankings. Build is now open, so feel free to make jealous comments about how shit he is by today's dot standards!

Been fun blowing a few minutes a day on this wacky game and shooting the shit with a number of you. Been even more fun pushing some of the buttons of those whose buttons are so easily pushed. Thanks to Bonn, Nashville, South Otto, and St. John's for fun WL seasons with good groups of guys.

In a bittersweet gesture on his way off the WL field for the final time, Glossy Eyes ceremoniously teabagged dcride with his sweaty balls, then had 5czar gently fluff them dry with his toupee. Upon returning to Cleveland, 5czar was somehow surprised to learn that the unwashed toupee had immediately become the single most beautiful, valuable, clean, and pleasant smelling item within the city limits.

Until we meet again, have fun all!

Pretty awesome to see an agent like this... One dot, who played lights out at the highest rung of the game. Hat tip to you good Sir. (in my best Real Men of Genius voice)

Lol, duly noted that he only had 2 WL playoff games. That's a team success measurement, not an individual success measurement. The fact that he put up such great numbers on teams that were not in the top tier of WL could be viewed as a positive vs. a negative, no?

What's more interesting to me is that me and my one dot have as many WL championship trophies as you and your whole slew of dots & GM positions.

I've just been notified that apparently dots can still be useful on some teams at certain levels even after they hit decline? Interesting. I may play him until the wheels fall off then seeing as I have no need to retire him. I'd ask people to PM me if they knew of any potential leads for next season, but I don't think I'm supposed to do that in this forum, so I won't.

We could just compare your oldest dot to my oldest dots playoff stats.

Your dot:
2 games, 2 tackles, 4 missed tackles, 0 PDs, 0 INTs, 0 everything else

My dot:
11 games, 22 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 2 PDs (lol @ my DE having more PDs than your FS), 8 hurries, 11 sacks, 3 TFLs, and an FF. And counting.

Your dot had one season of relevance...ever. Congrats on S16. Kurieg did a good job creating some egomaniac of an agent who has started more threads in the WL forum about his shitty FS than threads started about Hali missing the playoffs in S19. And no, a FS getting stats on a bad team is not seen as a positive. FS on good teams tend to have almost no stats, while they get plenty to clean up on bad teams.

He had a superb season 16. Regardless of the system - he did get an MVP trophy out of it. And the guy hasn't built any other dots according to his home page:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/home.pl?user_id=232276

Unless he is a multi account (which I'm not accusing him of being one) - he is a rare example of an agent building a single dot, taking that dot to the highest level of the game... And then having success. No matter if the build is terrible. He had a good season and the odds of someone doing that are extremely low.

Let the guy have his fun... You've built dozens of dots, so of course you're going to know a thing or two about how to build a successful player.
