Wow there were lot's of surprises. Malik Rose won two trophies, am not surprised he was responsible for 57 of the 88 Chocolate Blaze Touchdowns, which means he has more touchdowns than 20 teams. It wasn't a surprise to many when Malik won the Geinsman and the Blackwood awards.
I was very angry that Zata Ran won the Knight Trophy he was responsible for only 12 touchdowns, way less than the other finalists. I guess people voted on the highlights rather than the effect you have in games. I mean I think Shaun Bentley or Charley Young would have deserved it more. But I still have to congratulate him.
Sean Dane won the best Receiver award.The Tight End scored 19 total touchdowns. And he becomes the second Chocolate Blaze player to win an award. He as being the go to guy for Malik Rose he averaged 9.7 yards per catch. And congratulations to Sean Dane.
And Jimmy Patterson won the Johnston award. And I have to say nobody was surprised that he did. He was responsible for 82 of his teams 911 tackles, he was also responsible for 52 of his teams 99 sacks which is more than half, and he his responsible for8 of there 36 forced fumbles.
Overall I would say that the fans voted correctly except for the Zata Ran case. And who do you guys think should have made the finalists? and also who do you think will win these awards next season?
